INTRODUCTION The report of “orientation of success in higher education” will comprehensively explain the skills learned and knowledge gained for the success in higher education at the university. As every individual aims to build a better career by performing well at the university and for this purpose various skills are needs to improve the performance at the university. Skills which are acquired are team work, presentation and note taking (Donia, O'Neill and Brutus, 2018). The report will explain the need, understanding, the experience and how skills can be developed further for the betterment of performance at the university. MAIN BODY Let's analyse different skills, and experience, knowledge associated with it. Also, further expertise required to develop the skill. Team work skills: Team work is the most sought after skills required in the universities and work place. When a group of people work together to achieve a common goal, it is known as the teamwork. Nowadays companies are coming up with the new collaborative working style where team work skills are expected of employees. At university also different group tasks are assigned which requires team working skills to complete the projects, assignments and tasks. I have experience of team work as working on school task and performing various group work has polished and developed the understanding of the team work. In class rooms my belief in collaborative working has helped me in delivering the task in a better way. In order to develop my team work skills further I need a close understanding of various important elements which are important for being a team player. Improving communication, it is vital to communicate to group partners in effective way to have smooth working(Doo, and Park, 2019). Next is time management, while working on a task time should be well managed to achieve task on time. Therefore, to develop team working skills even further I need to have good communication and time management skills. Presentation skills: It is about delivering the information to the key people by engaging into an effective approach of presenting. Having just the right information is not enough, an effective way of delivering the information is equally important. As I have done various presentation on projects intheschool-time,Ihavedevelopedaninterestinbeingagoodpresentor.Ihavean
understanding of audience that needs to be addressed. It is an important aspect of presentation skills to know the audience or people which needs to be addressed by the information. In order to develop my presentation skills even further I need to understand the voice related aspects like, pitch, hand gesture, right body language, voice modulation etc. as this can help me in presenting better(Ochoa and Dominguez, 2020).Also, developing interesting key point indicatorswhich makesdeliveryof informationeasy isimportant.At the timeof interviewing this can be helpful in able to drive my resume to life and showcasing strengths in a nice way. Note taking skills: Noting the understanding down to keep the important things in mind and it is the exercise of recording information or learning captured from a source. These skills are vital for a school going person as this helps pay more attention and focus in the classroom. It makes student learn better and remember better in the classes. It also helps make a summary of the things you learn about, so you can use this later. Not just in the school but also in the work life this skill helps. As it was part of my curriculum habits to note down the lessons taught and important thingsof the chapter and subjects, it will further in higher education helps when more subjects and things will be taught. Teachers in school also emphasized on the note making of each session which has helped me develop this skill. I can develop my note taking skills even further by undertaking the practice of summarization which can make the note taking effective. By practising use of symbols, abbreviations and colours this can make note taking effortless and easy(Yuldasheva, 2020). CONCLUSION The above report has depicted the meaning of various skills that I already have and some skills that need to be developed further. Respective idea and understanding regarding the need of those skills have been mentioned in detail. The above report made the aim of success in higher education by explaining the necessity of note taking, team work and presentation, these were the set of skills chosen for the prosperity in higher education.
