Executive summary
This report will explain that business managers needs to support numerous events,
reviewing contracts as well as implementing rewards to lead team members with utmost
efficiency. The Original Creation is the company that deals in personalised commodities such as
exfoliate scrubs, blood pressure monitors, hair clippers and many more. This firm faces problems
in terms of lower sales and withdrawal of products due to customer complain for low quality and
damage of commodities. It has been found that key challenges faced by organisation are
incapable staff members, communication problem as well as product withdrawal issue. The key
business options that will be discuss in this report are Do nothing option, Do the minimum we
can and Do something else. In addition to this, the project will also cover my personal reflection
by undertaking use of Kolb's reflective model.

Introduction
The project management is involved in the planning as well as organising critical
resources of company so that particular task can be completed within the specified time frame.
The resources managed by personal management department can be related to personnel,
finances, technology as well as intellectual property. For this project, the Original Creations firm
is taken into consideration. The firm engages in the marketing of range of original commodities
with the support of direct mail brochure and online platforms. It also searches regularly about
new product ideas as an strategy to improve volume of sales in effective manner. The main
purpose of this report will be to address business issues of company that resulted in returns of
product from customers. This report will also show various business options to tackle those
issues along with expected benefits and dis-benefits. In addition to this, the report will also
analyse the importance of stakeholders as well as also underline the 4 D's model. Moreover, the
report will also represent my personal reflection by using Kolb's learning cycle model.

Part-1:
Reasons:
The original creations firm is among designing companies who does not manufacture its
own products but sends ideas of making new products to other firms and also analyse prototypes.
After clearing the products manufactured from other firms, it negotiates the contract considering
elements like prices, quality, delivery time as well as volume. The critical reasons behind the
development of this project is to solve the business problems faced by the Original Creation
organisation. One of the problems faced by company is Communication Complexity, the firm
faces difficulty in collaborating with international stakeholders due to linguistic barriers as well
as cultural differences(Rowe, 2020). The another issue faced by this company is Product
withdrawal, this problem has made the sales of company weaker due to lower sales in products
like stack up boxes which includes toenail clipper. This also covers the huge space in warehouse.
Apart from this, the other reason can be due to low quality or can be due to damaged offerings.
The last and main problem that firm is facing is inexperienced staff members, it has been
evaluated that the firm have the large proportion of young workers who are not competent
enough to solve complex business problems in effective manner. This puts pressure on team
members to meet the business objectives within the decided time frame.
Describing business options:
The business options are considered as various strategies which assist managers of the
firm to attain determined goal in appropriate manner. In context to Original Creations, the
founder of venture Mark Shelly can undertake use of important business options and decide
which option are best in solving above mentioned business issues(Crawford, 2021). The business
options are critical for growth of organisation as it motivates manager to give comparative value
to activities as well as project tasks. After selecting effective option, the business strategies can
be formed with the motive of gaining efficiency in operations. For solving problems of Original
Creations, the following business options that have considered by owner are:
Do nothing option:
This option can be practised when making strategic decisions for performing nothing. In
this, business owners are determined to jump in and solve existing issues as well as fix things. In

context to Original Creations, the do nothing option can be selected by the firm in order to keep
continuing its existing business practises. For instance, the owner of Original Creations for
solving business issues can do nothing to keep working till the point of time.
Do the minimum we can:
In this business option, the managers do minimum changes in their existing operations as
well as tasks for solving business issues. In relation to Original Creations, this business options
will help the managers in making strong starting point for solving business issues. By doing
minimal changes, the managers need less strategic insight along with thinking without ignoring
current market changes. Hence, this can allow the firm to provide effective and data driven
solutions of business problem(Zhang and et.al., 2020).
Do something else:
By adopting this approach, the manager of Original creations can undertake major
changes in its existing tasks as well as business policies. The firm can make significant changes
in the area such as human resource management staff or in marketing strategies.
Recommendation:
It has been recommended that Original Creations should make use of third option that is
''Do something else''. This will enable the organisation in adopting new business strategies
according to the changes in external business environment. It will also enable the firm in
addressing its business problems in most effective manner(Aanbari and Kwak, 2018).

This project management process allows the busy project managers a clear as well as
single process to follow during scheduling the activities in the most effective manner. This
model covers 4 elements of which 2 are explained below:

In context to original creations, this element support the company in deciding the aim of
project as well as also covers the development of objectives in order to achieve the aims of the
project. This can allow the project manager of the firm to effectively predetermine their aims and
schedule them in the most effective manner.
Design it:

In context to original creations, it allows the project manager of company to estimate the
time required for completing the project. In addition to this, it also supports in making
intervention timetable as well as cycle of events.. it enables the manager in selecting appropriate

firm to do market research by using innovative technologies such as social media platforms in
order to identify external market environment.
Increased resource management:
It will also allow owner of Original Creations company to effectively control the
performance of employees by monitoring their performance on regular manner. This can also

enable the managers in making better relations with internal stakeholders of the firm like
employees. The adoption of new digital platforms will also help the firm to easily identify
customer complaints which will lead to fast redressal of complains.

Complications:
The owner of Original Creations can face complications by adopting the '' Do something
else'' approach. As it will be difficult for the firm to adopt innovative technologies in its existent
business infrastructure. Hence, it can be difficult for the firm to handle digital modifications
without the help of experienced IT professional(Chofreh and et.al., 2019).
Privacy issues:
The lack of security measures like installing updated antivirus can become easy source
for ethical hackers to gain fraudulent access of critical information about project. This can result
in huge financial loss to the company.
Time-scale:
The time span which is needed by company to attain project targets are refereed as time
scale for projects. This contains all the visual list of actions that needs to performed from the
beginning of activity till the end of project activities. The gap between the completion of projects
and current results are often considered as time-scale of realisation. The manager of Original
Creations have decided the time scale of six months in order to make any necessary changes in
existing strategies for achieving project objectives(Sarif and et.al., 2018).

The cost is termed as monetary value attached with the expenditures in relation to
suppliers, labour or other services to use for realising goals of project. In context to Original

to select suitable business options by giving attention to the critical elements like costs, time
risks as well as efforts.

Personal Reflection
Kolb's Learning style:
The David Kolb has developed the new learning style process which supports the student
to develop new skills after gaining experience from doing specific projects. This model states
that learning is defined as accumulation of abstract concepts on mind which can be applied to the
various type of situations. The application of model has allowed me to gain insight about which
skills I have to improve so that I can develop my academic and professional skills in effective
manner. In addition to this, it will help me to gain experienced based learning experience through
which I can develop new skills for performing better in future professional life. The four stages
of Kolb's learning cycle is give below:
Concrete experience:
I am feeling great as I have successfully completed my project in the field of business and
management of the organisation. In my first week of my university, I have gained insights about
the various terminologies of business and management. In addition to this, I also attended the
online classes due to the surge of pandemic. I was curious as well as interested in gaining new
amount of information in order to perform well both in academic as well as professional world.
In this project, I gathered critical informations about the activities essential for successful
initiation of project activities. I also watched the specific management approaches in order to
attain goals and objectives in most effective manner. Due to this, I was motivated and happy to

gain such type of skill improving experience. I was also enthusiastic in understanding and doing
this new project. I have also understood that skills like communication skills are very important
for any individuals in order to effectively drawing favourable attention from the large group of
people. In this, I have recognised that business skills like communication skills, problem solving
skills and many other skills can be developed by making suitable strategies and work on the
attainment of those stated strategies.
Reflective observation:
My learning experience was positive and also I felt positive about doing my studies more
confidently. The critical part which I gathered about organisational concepts is that it provided
me proper guidance for future to lay out relationship of reporting that governs organisational
workflow. I evaluated many relevant concepts like making formal outline of company structure
which I can apply in my future professional jobs. In addition to this, I also gained insight about
the importance of team development by engaging in team development activities. This allowed
me a chance to develop my team working skills in the most effective manner. This made me
more interested to work in teams as it is associated with greater performance and productivity
levels. After doing the project, I have also analysed that I have to develop problem solving as
well as numeracy skills in order to perform better in my future professional jobs.
Abstract conceptualisation:
I have learned from my experience that development of skills and knowledge is critical
for the growth of professional skills as well as day to day skills. I have gained from my
experience that in order to perform well in complex situations, I have to re-think my skill
development goals so that objectives can be achieved in effective manner. I have noted a
negative experience during this project as I was unable to make effective strategies due to my
lack of problem solving skills. Moreover, I have also evaluated that I am not good at handling
quantitative piece of information while making the budget for attaining financial objectives.
Moreover, I have also realised that I was good in communicating with my team members as well
as I also came to know that I have improved my computer skills to the greater extent.
Active experimentation:
I have realised that in order to improve the skills which I am lacking I need to design
strategies so that I can develop my skills in the most effective manner. This will allow me to hold

future professional jobs in efficient manner. In addition to this, I will also adopt necessary
