Executive summary
This report will explain that business managers needs to support numerous events,
reviewing contracts as well as implementing rewards to lead team members with utmost
efficiency. The Original Creation is the company that deals in personalised commodities such as
exfoliate scrubs, blood pressure monitors, hair clippers and many more. This firm faces problems
in terms of lower sales and withdrawal of products due to customer complain for low quality and
damage of commodities. It has been found that key challenges faced by organisation are
incapable staff members, communication problem as well as product withdrawal issue. The key
business options that will be discuss in this report are Do nothing option, Do the minimum we
can and Do something else. In addition to this, the project will also cover my personal reflection
by undertaking use of Kolb's reflective model.

Introduction
The project management is involved in the planning as well as organising critical
resources of company so that particular task can be completed within the specified time frame.
The resources managed by personal management department can be related to personnel,
finances, technology as well as intellectual property. For this project, the Original Creations firm
is taken into consideration. The firm engages in the marketing of range of original commodities
with the support of direct mail brochure and online platforms. It also searches regularly about
new product ideas as an strategy to improve volume of sales in effective manner. The main
purpose of this report will be to address business issues of company that resulted in returns of
product from customers. This report will also show various business options to tackle those
issues along with expected benefits and dis-benefits. In addition to this, the report will also
analyse the importance of stakeholders as well as also underline the 4 D's model. Moreover, the
report will also represent my personal reflection by using Kolb's learning cycle model.

Reasons:
The original creations firm is among designing companies who does not manufacture its
own products but sends ideas of making new products to other firms and also analyse prototypes.
After clearing the products manufactured from other firms, it negotiates the contract considering
elements like prices, quality, delivery time as well as volume. The critical reasons behind the
development of this project is to solve the business problems faced by the Original Creation
organisation. One of the problems faced by company is Communication Complexity, the firm
faces difficulty in collaborating with international stakeholders due to linguistic barriers as well
as cultural differences(Rowe, 2020). The another issue faced by this company is Product
withdrawal, this problem has made the sales of company weaker due to lower sales in products
like stack up boxes which includes toenail clipper. This also covers the huge space in warehouse.
Apart from this, the other reason can be due to low quality or can be due to damaged offerings.
The last and main problem that firm is facing is inexperienced staff members, it has been
evaluated that the firm have the large proportion of young workers who are not competent
enough to solve complex business problems in effective manner. This puts pressure on team
members to meet the business objectives within the decided time frame.
Describing business options:
The business options are considered as various strategies which assist managers of the
firm to attain determined goal in appropriate manner. In context to Original Creations, the
founder of venture Mark Shelly can undertake use of important business options and decide
which option are best in solving above mentioned business issues(Crawford, 2021). The business
options are critical for growth of organisation as it motivates manager to give comparative value
to activities as well as project tasks. After selecting effective option, the business strategies can
be formed with the motive of gaining efficiency in operations. For solving problems of Original
Creations, the following business options that have considered by owner are:
Do nothing option:
This option can be practised when making strategic decisions for performing nothing. In
this, business owners are determined to jump in and solve existing issues as well as fix things. In

continuing its existing business practises. For instance, the owner of Original Creations for
solving business issues can do nothing to keep working till the point of time.
Do the minimum we can:
In this business option, the managers do minimum changes in their existing operations as
well as tasks for solving business issues. In relation to Original Creations, this business options
will help the managers in making strong starting point for solving business issues. By doing
minimal changes, the managers need less strategic insight along with thinking without ignoring
current market changes. Hence, this can allow the firm to provide effective and data driven

Kolb's Learning style:
The David Kolb has developed the new learning style process which supports the student
to develop new skills after gaining experience from doing specific projects. This model states
that learning is defined as accumulation of abstract concepts on mind which can be applied to the
various type of situations. The application of model has allowed me to gain insight about which
skills I have to improve so that I can develop my academic and professional skills in effective
manner. In addition to this, it will help me to gain experienced based learning experience through
which I can develop new skills for performing better in future professional life. The four stages
of Kolb's learning cycle is give below:
Concrete experience:
I am feeling great as I have successfully completed my project in the field of business and
management of the organisation. In my first week of my university, I have gained insights about
the various terminologies of business and management. In addition to this, I also attended the
online classes due to the surge of pandemic. I was curious as well as interested in gaining new
amount of information in order to perform well both in academic as well as professional world.
In this project, I gathered critical informations about the activities essential for successful
initiation of project activities. I also watched the specific management approaches in order to
attain goals and objectives in most effective manner. Due to this, I was motivated and happy to

more interested to work in teams as it is associated with greater performance and productivity
levels. After doing the project, I have also analysed that I have to develop problem solving as
well as numeracy skills in order to perform better in my future professional jobs.
Abstract conceptualisation:
I have learned from my experience that development of skills and knowledge is critical
for the growth of professional skills as well as day to day skills. I have gained from my
experience that in order to perform well in complex situations, I have to re-think my skill
development goals so that objectives can be achieved in effective manner. I have noted a
negative experience during this project as I was unable to make effective strategies due to my
lack of problem solving skills. Moreover, I have also evaluated that I am not good at handling
quantitative piece of information while making the budget for attaining financial objectives.
Moreover, I have also realised that I was good in communicating with my team members as well
as I also came to know that I have improved my computer skills to the greater extent.

I have realised that in order to improve the skills which I am lacking I need to design
strategies so that I can develop my skills in the most effective manner. This will allow me to hold
