I Article: “Nursing records at a teaching hospital: a quasi-experimental study”
1. This research is quantitative empirical interventional used for evaluation of pretest and post
test type over a given sample.
2. This study focuses on nursing staff as a sample population, which involved night shift nurses,
practical nurses and nursing assistants from ICU, surgical and medical departments.
3. The medical records collected by the nurses in hospitals were evaluated for their adherence to
legislative standards in the teaching hospitals.
4. The study involved educational interventions to evaluate the records of the nursing staff for
their adherence with legislative specifications in hospital considering the institutional sector,
professional category, shifts of working schedule, and the offences recorded in each registration
before and after the implementation of educational intervention.
5. The observations of data before and after the intervention were compared with the legislative
standards.
6. Evaluation of 826 records was done. Evaluation of 465 records was completed prior to
intervention and evaluation of 361 records was done post intervention. Highest number of
