GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT OF NATURAL AND CULTURAL HERITAGE
The country symbolises unique inheritance of heritage and culture. Tibet has wide list of collection of various sites and venues that
are visited by number of tourists from all over the globe. The country has a unique geographical location consisting of breath taking
high altitudes that are admired to be visited by tourists coming from different corners of the globe to enjoy the uniqueness of
hospitality of Tibetan people along with easy accessibility to different areas of the region with the support of efficiency of
transportation system. The importance of development of heritage in the country can be assessed by increasing number of tourists
attraction for exploring the beauty and craftsmanship of the country. The region is not only bestowed with extreme beauty of nature
but it also has collection of various human constructed built heritage within the environment of country's unique heritage. Like
Tibetan citizens, contribution from Chinese government has also led to overall development of the nation by increasing income
earned from travel and tourism sector.
The government has designed list of plans focusing upon promoting heritage as well as cultural development of the
region. Natural heritage of this place has attracted tourist attention on account of beautiful locations including beautiful
landscapes, coastlines, forests, national parks, woodland, wildlife and many more. This tourist spot is a well blend of
nature as well humanism's unique craftsmanship. This natural heritage is a symbol of beauty of nature which is a god
gifted boon. On the other hand, Tibetan people have explored the art of constructing unique historical buildings such as
museums, artefacts, archaeological sites, sculpture and monuments. Moreover, people have contributed to a greater
extent upon building industrial heritage and enhancing sports-related heritage sites along with themed sites.
Chinese government has realized the potential of the place and various projects have been undertaken to exploit natural
resources owned by the country. However, projects such as Intercontinental Hotel Groups plan to establish Resort
Lhasa Paradise with more than 1100 rooms pulling tourists interest to a greater extent. The cultural heritage of the roof
of the world has influenced people to believe in not disturbing the ground for exploiting natural resources for the selfish
desire of mankind. It has been observed that the Chinese government has been undertaking renovation program of
Barkhor district situated in Lhasa-capital of Tibet.
