TASK 1

1.1 Apply relevant theories of communication to
health and social care
In the current case scenario, one morning Anna felt queasy and feeling of
doom she couldn't stand properly, she cannot speak properly so her husband
Paul take her to the hospital where she didn't get attention of nurses and doctors.
The reaction of doctor is not good as without properly diagnose about the
problem of Anna, he started accusing Anna that she consumed alcohol and wet
herself and doesn't prescribe medicine properly and discharge her after 10
minutes. The rude behaviour is not acceptable and afterwards Paul take her to
another hospital where it was revealed that she got a stroke.
Communication plays a significant role in health and social care as
conveying thoughts and opinions is essential in order to create a good
relationship among individuals falls under the health and social care. The basic
objective of this industry is to satisfy all the needs and the expectations of
various customers falls exist in the current industry by adopting appropriate
source of communication.

Cognitive learning theory
It is helpful technique used in the health and social care in order to
care about all patients in a hospital as well as social home care. This
approach emphasises on psychology of an individual in order to
reduce all their pains and sorrows and make them happy in order to
live their life freely. This focuses on various ways in order to learn
new experience by following an appropriate procedure such as
observing things, prioritizing, classifying things from generalization
to the specific things in order to achieve the desired final outcome.
The basic assumptions of this process is given more preference to the
internal thoughts of a person rather than external imposition of
stimuli. The skills and the existing knowledge of learner will get
improved in the completion of the procedure as they will come to
know the actual capabilities which are suppressed with the internal
thoughts and opinions. Active participation of an individual is
essential to gain advantage from the current process of learning.
