TOPIC:“To critically analyse the pain related to Cervical Cancer among the patients. A study on Maldives” INTRODUCTION Cervical cancer in turn is considered to be as the type of cancer which in turn tends to arise from the cervix (Symptoms of Cervical Cancer, 2020). Such cancer arises because of abnormal growth of cells which in turn has the capability to spread to various other different parts of the body. This study will critically analyse the pain related to Cervical Cancer. Furthermore, this study also tends to demonstrate how biological knowledge of the various health care practitioners which is very useful in informing patient care.Maldives has the key population of around 133,066 who ages 15 years and more who in turn has a risk of developing the cervical cancer (Maldives - HPV Information Centre,2020). The current statistics states that, 41 women are diagnosed with the cervical cancer and around 21 die from this disease. Aim “To critically analyse the pain related to Cervical Cancer among the patients. A study on Maldives” Research Objectives To develop understanding related with the cervical cancer. To critically evaluate pain associated with the pain in Cervical cancer. To determine effective intervention and prevention strategies related with the Cervical cancer. Research Questions What do you understand by cervical cancer and what are the symptoms and causes related with Cervical cancer? How to critically evaluate pain associated with the pain in Cervical cancer? What are effective intervention and prevention strategies related with the Cervical cancer? Rationale The researcher of the study has selected this research topic because of the academic interest of the researcher. This study was selected as it will help researcher in gaining broad set of knowledge in relation with the pain associated with the Cervical Cancer. The researcher of the study has also opted for the specific research topic because it considered to be one of the wide 1
topic and in turn helps researcher in gaining various knowledge related with the specific subject matter. Relevance The key relevance of the clinical nursing practice is to develop clear set of guidelines by systematically developing various statements which is very useful in assisting health care practitioners and various other patients in order to provide better care results and outcomes associated with the pain related with the Cervical cancer. PART 1 To develop understanding related with the cervical cancer. (Swanson & et.al.,2019)sought to determine the fact that, Cervical cancer in turn is considered to be as the type of cancer which in turn tends to arise from the cervix. Cervical cancer tends to arise because of abnormal growth of cells which in turn has the capability to spread to various other different parts of the body. Cervical cancer is considered to be one of the world’s fourth common causes of the death from cervical cancer among women. Vaginal discharge is also considered to be one of the major symptom associated with the Cervical cancer. The key symptoms associated with the advanced Cervical cancer mainly includesloss of appetite, pelvic pain, weight loss, fatigue, back pain, heavy vaginal bleeding, leg pain, swollen legs, bone fractures, leakage of urine from vagina. At the early stage, no symptoms are visible. On the later stage, this in turn might eventually include symptoms such as bleeding in vagina, pelvic pain and pain at the time of sexual intercourse (Symptoms of Cervical Cancer, 2020). Having multiple pregnancies in turn also tends to highly increase the risk related with the Cervical cancer. Subsequently,(Chen & Rao 2018)argued that, Cervical cancer can be caused by inflections with human papillomavirus (HPV) in turn tends have the greatest risk of Cervical cancer. Another major cause of cervical cancer is related with the HIV infection. Cigarette smoking is also considered to be one of the major reason which in turn tends to largely increase the risk associated with the Cervical cancer.Long term use related with the oral contraceptive in turn mainly increases the risk related with the Cervical cancer.(Thanthong & et.al., 2017)sought to evaluate that, at the time of Biopsy, Pap test is used in order to carry out a screening test. This way it helps in diagnosing theCervical cancer. Another potential precursor associated with the Cervical cancer is mainly linked with theCervical intraepithelial neoplasia. This is referred to as 2

an effective way in order to diagnose the Cervical cancer. The cervical cancer is classified into 4 stages. The zero stage of the cervical cancer mainly includes where the pre- cancerous cells are present among the person. On the first stage of the cervical cancer, the cells of the cancer are grown into deep tissue of cervix. At the second stage of the cervical cancer, the cancer of the patient in turn has moved beyond uterus and cervix area. But it has not reached the lower part of the pelvis or vagina. At the third stage of the cervical cancer, the cancer cells are now present at the walls of the pelvis and this in turn largely blocks the uterus as well as the tubes which carries urine from bladder. At the last stage or at the fourth stage of the Cervical cancer, the cancer cells tends to highly affect the rectum or bladder area of the person which is growing outside of the pelvis area. Furthermore, this cancer might also spread to various distinct organs which mainly includes bones, lymph nodes, liver, lungs, etc. To critically evaluate pain associated with the pain in Cervical cancer. (Reisch & et.al., 2019)sought to determine the fact that, most of the women who has been suffering from Cervical cancer in turn tends to describe dull ache at the pelvic area. This might result in sharp pain as the pain can be constant and intermittent. This in turn typically worsen the pain associated with the Cervical cancer. As the cancer tends to become more advance, this way it might result in high degree of leg pain. This in turn might also starts pressing against the nerves within the pelvic wall. The nurse must focus on complying with the pain management to cure leg pain cause among the patient because of cervical cancer. Multidisciplinary approach will be used to treat the cervical cancer. This eventually leads to high degree of swelling and leg pain among individuals. The women also tends to feel period like pain. Back pain is also one of the rare symptoms which in turn has been shown among the women (Symptoms of Cervical Cancer, 2020). This in turn largely increases the pain and problem related with the Cervical cancer. High degree of pain tends to be felt within lower back of the body among women. Women tend to feel pain as well as pressure near the abdomen or also below the navel part. The pain during the cervical cancer tends to depend on person to person. Some might experience dull pain near the pelvic area while other might experience serious pain near the pelvic area. Pain felt by the person might be on the constant basis which in turn largely depends upon the stage of Cervical cancer. The pain in turn largely worsens after or at the time of intercourse. Subsequently,(Meng & Feng, 2018)argued that, bowel and bladder pain associated with the movements of the bowel and at the time of urination. There seems to be inconsistency within feces, urine or even both. Pressure 3
in turn actually block the area which in turn tends to cause high degree of obstruction which eventually make it difficult for the person to urinate or to carry out a bowel movement. Pelvic pain is another one of the major symptom which in turn eventually results in pressure near the abdomen. Unexplained persistent pain near the pelvic area will in turn eventually leads to persistent degree of pain near the pelvic area.(Yim & et.al., 2018)sought to evaluate that, back pain which in turn tends to extend to the leg is usually caused by high degree of pressure of the enlarged tumour on spine and nerves. The person can also see swelling in of the leg or both the legs. Swelling in turn tends to occur within few days of Cervical cancer. Swelling occurs when the tumour tends to put pressure on the veins or on the lymph nodes. When the cancer is at the advanced stage the patient might experience pain near appendix. Cervical cancer tends to affect the entrance part of the womb. The cervix in turn is considered to be as the narrow part of lower uterus which is often referred to as neck of womb. To determine effective intervention and prevention strategies related with the Cervical cancer. (Kaila & Maree, 2018)sought to determine the fact that, Chemotherapy is considered to be one of the effective medication which is very useful in treating people with Cervical cancer. There are various range of side effects which is related with the Chemotherapy which mainly includes hair loss, diarrhoea, fatigue, nausea, early menopause and infertility(Symptoms of Cervical Cancer, 2020).Chemotherapy is considered to be very useful because it helps in the destruction of the cancer cells from the human body. It usually helps in preventing the cancer cells from growing and dividing into more set of cells. Surgery is one of the effective which is useful in removing the tumour. This can be done by surrounding the area with the healthy set of tissues. LEEP is an effective system which helps in passing the current through the thin wire hook. Subsequently,(Ward & et.al., 2019)argued that, radiation therapy is also considered to be one of the effective measure which is very useful in treating people with Cervical cancer. This therapy is also referred to as the brachytherapy. This radiation therapy tends to include various set of side effects which mainly include pain in the abdominal, skin reaction, fatigue, bowel obstruction, upset stomach, mild skin reaction, etc.(Dey & et.al., 2017)sought to evaluate that, immunotherapy is considered to be as the biological therapy which has been designed in order to boost up the natural defence of the body in order to fight the cervical cancer. This therapy tends to use various components from the own human body which in turn has been used to effectively improve the immune system of an individualperson. The heath care practitioners complying 4
with the multi- component intervention which mainly comprises of the media education, communication, barrier reduction, enhancement in the access of care, etc(Ward & et.al., 2019). will eventually increase the awareness of the people and will also participate in the prevention, controlling, screening and the treatment process. In order to prevent and reduce the risk of the Cervical cancer the individual must in turn focus on to regularly go on a routine Pap test. The individual on the time to time basis must get vaccinated and also quick smoking in order to prevent the risk of Cervical cancer. Women must in turn also focus on carrying out safe practice by using contraceptives. This way it is very useful in effectively reducing the risk of cervical cancer among women.Prone AWTUVI exercise and taking proper medication is considered to be one of the best practice in order to reduce cervical pain. Cervical cancer tends to develop when the cells within the pelvic area or cervix begin to grow to various other organs or part of the body. The cells presents within the body in turn might invade the good tissues and good cells within the body(Ali, Makata & Ezenduka, 2016).This way it also results in the spread of the cervical cells across various part of the body. Cervical cancer is considered to be as the slower growing cells which in turn tends to spread quickly after a certain stage or a period of time. PART B The biological knowledge is considered to be very crucial because it helps in improving the best practice by effectively finding relevant answers to the specific questions. Biological knowledge is very useful in improving the care practice to the patient. This is very useful in providing the best possible results to the problem(Caraceni& Shkodra, 2019). Gaining high degree of biological knowledge is very useful in raising awareness in the dilemmas of nursing practice. High degree of biological knowledge associated with how to treat patients with cervical cancer in turn is very useful in improving the care of the patient. It also helps in attaining better care results and outcomes. Integration of various set of modern technology in turn helps in attaining higher operational goals and efficiency within the care setting. People or individuals who in turn has been suffering from Cervical cancer must in turn largely participate with the clinical trial. This is considered to be one of the best treatment which usually helps in treating women who has been suffering from cervical cancer (Symptoms of Cervical Cancer, 2020). The health care practitioners within the organization must in turn focus on improving the health 5

outcomes of the person suffering from Cervical cancer by complying with the proper guidelines which in turn are mainly linked with the treatment and screening procedure for cervical cancer. Proper screening and testing of the patient who has been suffering from cervical cancer. Complete team ofradiation oncologist, gynecologic oncologist, and medical oncologist come together to provide best clinical practice to the person suffering from cervical cancer.Palliative care is considered to be one of the effective measure because it is very useful in improving the way an individual person feel at the time of treatment. This type of care is considered to be prominent because it is very useful in effectively managing symptoms. Palliative care is also very useful in supporting the families and patients with several set of medical and non-medical needs. Palliative care treatment is very useful because it tends to provide various set of nutritional change, provide appropriate medication, provides spiritual and emotional support, relaxation techniques and various other therapies which is useful in improving the health outcomes of the person who has been suffering from Cervical cancer. The World Health OrganizationPackageofessentialnon-communicablediseaseinterventionisusefulin suspecting women with the cervical cancer(Colon,2018).This way it is very useful in the attainment of the better care results and outcomes within the care setting. PART C: REFLECTION This study is considered to be very useful because it has helped me in effectively analysing the various set of aspects associated with the Cervical cancer. The researcher of the study in turn tends to demonstrate various other measures which in turn eventually is very useful for me to effectively gain better set of understanding related with the symptoms and causes related with the Cervical cancer. Moreover, this study also helped me to critically evaluate the various set of pain which is linked with the Cervical cancer. This study will help in analysing the key strategies and prevention for the cervical cancer which is prominent for the future. I was very excited to carry out the specific set of study because it has eventually helped me in gaining wider set of knowledge related with the intervention and treatmentmeasures associated with the Cervical cancer. Moreover, this study has also helped me in gaining clear set of views associated with the clinical practice and it also helped me in understanding the key relevance and importance associated with the biological knowledge at the time of giving care to the patients. 6
I have examined that, there are various factors which in turn largely influence the health of the person and eventually leads to cervical cancer. This study has helped me come across various measures in order to effectively treat patients. The researcher of the study must in turn also focus on effectively demonstrate how to carry out a particular set of clinical practice in order to treat patients with Cervical cancer. One of the major limitation faced by me while carrying out the study is mainly linked with the time constraints. But I have developed an effective time frame in order to attain key goals and objectives of the study. Moreover, the key benefit associated with the study is that, it tends to have a wider set of concept which is very useful in gaining high degree of information related to the specific subject matter. This study is very beneficial for me because it has helped me increase the knowledge by getting insight of various authors from the google scholar. It has helped me gain in- depth understanding related to the subject matter. I have a great deal of clinical experience related with the cervical cancer. It has helped me gain wider set of knowledge by treating large number of patients from across the globe. This has helped me reach perfection and also help in providing best possible results to the patients.
