Paragraph 1
In the first paragraph, the concept of happiness had been taken from a study
conducted by Psychology today in the year 2010. The paragraph tells the readers that
happiness does not come from the joy itself but it comes from a certain discomfort which the
individual feels such as the lack of money itself. Thus, it is the individual’s surrounding
which influences the amount of happiness of the individual itself not only in their life but also
in their workplace itself as happiness depends on the reduction of the discomfort (Veenhoven,
2015).
Paragraph 2
The second paragraph had been stated by the researcher Livni in the year 2018. It
gives the example of the psychologist named Anna Rowley and how she shrinks the concept
of the word happiness. The paragraph tells the readers about the fact that the most important
quality to be had in the human beings themselves. This quality the psychologist claims is the
quality of the resilience which she claims the individual must possess in themselves, and she
says it is this resilience in the human beings themselves that would lead them to the feelings
of happiness for the humans (Jugureanu et. all, 2014).
Paragraph 3
The third para graph had been taken from the Office for National Statistics from the
year 2017. In this paragraph, the readers are being told by the source itself that the increase or
the decrease of the amount of happiness in the life of an individual depends on the amount of
political change and the uncertainty that the individual of the country deals with. It can also
be used to sate the factors which are considered to be responsible for the well-being of the
individuals themselves by the Office itself (Jugureanu, 2014). The Office backs up the

statement with the statistics provided which helps the readers to understand the claim of the
Office itself.
Paragraph 4
In the fourth paragraph of the article itself taken from the Government of the U.K. in
the year 2013, the readers are told about the various measures that would relate to the well-
being of the humans and would contribute to their happiness in the industry itself. Thus, it
can be stated that the article urges the humans to have a mixture of the emotions in their lives
as they are important for the human beings to be fully well and to make sure that the subject
of happiness indeed is present in their lives as well (Veenhoven, 2015).
Summary
Thus, the summary of all the four paragraphs of the articles gives the readers a basic
idea of the happiness in their lives and what needs to be done by the human beings
themselves to ensure that the happiness in their lives could be easily achieved by them. This
would help the human beings to control their lives in such a way that they would easily be
able to encounter happiness in their lives and can live without facing any problems in the
society.
