INTRODUCTION
In the Holistic development of the child’s future, school, parents and teachers play a very vital
role. Both have a great responsibility and shares an equal amount of contribution in modifying
the child’s personality. Parent-Teacher Involvement in Education is an important aspect of life.
In today’s world without a good Education and Training, it is very hard and difficult to survive.
To create a strong Parent-Teacher relationship, it is necessary to create parents involvement.
There should be a bond of trust between the Parent-Teacher, if the parent doesn’t trust the
teacher and visa-versa, it becomes very difficult for the child to cope up. There are different kind
of ways to strengthen that relationship. It depends on how we try to enhance our relationship and
try to make it stronger and effective. A very common problem between the Parent-Teacher is,
parents expect that whatever is taught at home should be taught in the school too which
practically is not possible from the point of view of a school. Since parents have more than
enough time to spend with their child whereas the school has a limited time frame within which
they need to complete their syllabus and open the mind of the children for new ideas and
creative. Parents now a days blame the teachers for anything that goes wrong, they should not
forget that Teachers are there to brighten the future of the child. It is very mandatory to attend
the Parent-Teacher conference, so that they can get the opportunity to refine their child’s plan for
learning and to make sure about the relationship of Teacher, Student and the Parent is crystal
clear. In the Orientation also the teacher clarifies and explains its expectations. The parents need
to attend it with open minds i.e. they should have in mind of understanding things from the point
of view of teacher rather than just blaming the school and the teachers. Hence, it is very essential
for both the parents and teacher to cooperate and coordinate with each other as a partner in the
child’s earlier childhood education.
ROLE OF PARENTS
The first role model of the child is their parents. Parents help to motivate and encourage their
children in each and every stages. If the parents are responsive and understanding, it will initiate
the child to acquire skills at the very early stages of their life. A good parental guideline helps the
child to be positive, healthy and very quick learner.
