(I.e. chose the same leaders) and why?
Vendors that are in Leaders quadrant have the highest composites scores for their
Ability to Execute” and “Completeness of Vision”. Vendors in this quadrant have the
credibility, market share, marketing & sales capabilities, and a clear understanding of market
needs. To be in the Leaders quadrant means the vendor is an innovator, has broad platform
support and consistent financial performance.
Tableau is in the Leaders quadrant due to its high brand recognition globally.
Moreover, Tableau is undeniably in this quadrant for its product roadmap (that includes
augmented data preparation and discovery, agile data cataloguing), ongoing product
improvements, strong market momentum and excellent customer reference scores.
Microsoft also deserves to be positioned in the Leaders quadrant because it continued
to show uptake of Power BI, and high levels of customer interest and adoption. Microsoft has
clear and visionary product roadmap that includes vertical industry content.
Lastly, Qlik is agreeably in the Leaders quadrant because it has achieved major
progress on its roadmap for augmented analytics, improvements in marketing strategy, and
ease of use.
Q2: What criteria would recommend other criteria?
The criteria for evaluation are the ability to execute and the completeness of vision.
The criteria respectively includes overall viability, market responsiveness, product or service,
market execution, and pricing. The second criteria involves business model, innovation, sales
and marketing strategy, vertical industry strategy.
