Introduction
The research report is prepared on the subject of ‘Human resource management’. It is the process
of managing the human resource of an organization in a structured and thorough manner. It is the
practice of recruiting, hiring, deploying and managing the organization’s employee (Noe, 2017).
It includes the major aspect of HRM in respect of ‘Coca Cola Amatil’. It is a multinational
company and is considered one of the largest bottlers of non-alcoholic drink (CCA, 2019). It
pours light on the ‘Coca Cola Amatil’ initiatives based on improving employee performance,
corporate culture and employee engagement. It also focuses on the type of culture prevailing in
‘Coca Cola Amatil’ in Australia. The key purpose of the report is to upgrade the knowledge
concerning people, culture and contemporary leadership in the organization. It provides the
opportunity of practically applying theoretical knowledge based on HRM.

It refers to the behavior of an employee and his/her performance level with respect to assigned
duty in the workplace of an organization. It relates to the employee expected job activities and
their execution. It is one of the major factors governing the organization success (Anitha, 2014).
Performance-related initiative
Initiative in respect of employee performance is taken to achieve objectives of high productivity,
lessen cost, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness to improve production performance and to
achieve higher profits. A performance initiative includes all the definite plans undertaken to
retain high-quality performance from the employees of an organization.
‘Coca Cola Amatil’ has a strength of 88000 employees (Owler, 2019). It offers several benefits
to enhance the performance of its employees. It is assessed that ‘Pay & Benefits’ is one of the
major perquisites availed by its employees (Indeed, 2019). It provides several monetary and non-
financial incentives. It provides good pay rate to its staff members. It offers rewards for
handwork, facility of shift work and good working hours, long lunch breaks and gifts.
Additionally, it provides free drinks and beverages. It provides training and thus creates the
opportunity for employee career development (Indeed, 2019). Moreover, it has invested a high
sum of money to conduct workshop and training for its employees.
It is examined that performance management is an effective tool used for measuring employee
performance. It aims at constantly identifying, assessing and improving the employee
performance in an organization. It assists the higher authority of Coca Cola Amatil to monitor
the employee performance in the workplace. It involves enduring communication between the
higher authority and staff members (Moynihan, 2010). It has three stages:

orientation. Additionally, to adapt such culture, it runs various programs to retain culture-based

exclusive culture as it aims at developing its human resource by assisting them to reach new
