Organisational structure
Organisational structure is a approach which is used so that they are able to group and
organise their business in a way that there is acceptable standards according to which every
employee is working. Organisational structure plays an essential role in achieving the goals and
objectives of the company in specified time (Antonakis, and Day, eds., 2017). An
organisational structure is system which outlines how different business activities. Transitional
changes are ones which are related with replacement of exiting process with some new process.
These are more challenging and can result in increase of resistance from employees.
Organisational structure is a formal structure which is designed in a way that there is proper
relationships and information flows taking place. In Johnson of whixley there are many
transitional changes in terms of process which can be implemented in the organisation, this can
be brought in a way with help of structural changes. There is a complete change as individual
employees have to have to bring change in their behaviour and way of functioning. When there
is any change within the company, the organisational structure plays an important role while
managing employees when there is any change in the process of the company. It is important that
companies must adapt and change regularly for maintaining peace within the workplace. There is
direct impact on the organisational structure if there is any change within process of the

company. The organisational structure is important as it helps in managing work in effective
manner and achieve the organisational goals in specified time frame.
Benefits to Motivate employees: When organisational change is there, it is important to
motivate employees for doing their work in effective manner. The way in which company
functions changes if there is change in organisational structure (Bryman, 2013). It is also
important that Johnson of Whixley has to manage different business activities and tasks
accordingly when there is organisational change. It is important to motivate employees when
there is organisational change. Moreover, the change in structure of the company limits the
efficiency of worker's functioning. It is important that this organisation must focus on motivating
it's employees when there is any transition change happened in process of organisation.
Employee motivation is the key aspect while managing changes that happen when there is any
organisational change.
Organisational Culture:
Transitional change of the organisations' focus : Transitional changes can impact the
overall productivity and performance of the employees which can directly impact the overall
performance of the organisation. The focus of the employees can also shift as then they will have
to adapt themselves to the change which will take a considerable amount of time. While change
can be beneficial for the organisation as it is the process of moving from an old situation to a
new one, it can certainly affect the employees working for it. It can either have a positive or
negative impact (Heinisch and Mazzoleni, 2016). In context to Johnsons of Whixley, the
company has a strategy of offering various rewards and benefits to its employees which has
proved to be incremental and beneficial for them. Also, the employees are recognised for the
efforts that they put in getting tasks completed like working through bad weather and putting in
extra efforts. Also, the company keep hiring people to work for it which leads to a dis balance in
the number of employees who are experienced and who are new. Thus, the new employees have
to learn various skills in order to get in sync with the system. Whereas, already existing
employees may feel insure about their jobs which can be indirectly or directly observed in the
way they perform. Their productivity levels go down which can affect the overall profitability
and revenues of the company. Thus, it is important for the company to carefully analyse the
system before brining in any kind of change that can impact it negatively.
