INTRODUCTIONManaging people is an important task for every organisation. These people are onlyresponsible for performing all the functions of company. While managing employees oforganisation, managers must focus on hiring the right people for the company and then makingthem more competent to perform work of company(Alagaraja, Cumberland and Choi, 2015).Managers should know how to utilise the talent of employees otherwise it may hamper thesuccess of company. The organisation that is used here is “Global Business News” Magazine.This report will discuss about various factors associated with company like its organisationalstructure, culture, policies and practices, management strategies, etc. Along with this,management styles and their impact on people of organisation will be covered here.ACTIVITY 11.1 Impact of organisational structure on peopleThe organisational structure that is followed by “Global Business News” Magazine willhave a great influence on the people who are working in the organisation. The way company willhandle and organise their employees will show their expertise in management of people. Eachand every employee will be impacted by the behaviour of people. It is the responsibility ofmanagers to make an effective management structure so that they can manage all the employeeseffectively. It will lead to betterment of company and firm can attract more number of people towork with them. Every company is having same functions and activities but the people who areperforming it are different. So, it becomes necessary for the organisation to provide a type ofwork environment which is comfortable for employees to work. Through this, they will be ableto perform their work in a more effective manner.1.2 Impact of organisational culture on peopleThe culture that is followed in every company has a strong impact on all individuals whoare working in it. It is because their culture will help the employees in framing their behaviourand attitude inside the company. If the employees get adjusted with the culture that is followedinside organisation then they will be able to perform more effectively and their efficiency andproductivity will also get increased (Barrow and Mosley, 2011). But if employees will not feelcomfortable then they will not be able to give desired results which is not good for company. 1
