INTRODUCTION
Personal and professional development play significant role in career success and growth
of individual person. Personal development is defined as lifelong procedure, while professional
development is described short term, but effective process which made an applicant able to
perform in a company in productive manner. The current assignment will explain key skills
require to be a HE learner and their importance. Furthermore, the study will present overall
things in form of reflection.

Skills required to be a higher education student
Communication skills (written and oral)-
In order to be a HE learner, individual person may need this skill along with other, which
is quite important for them as it enable them to share information related to course work with
their group members in appropriate manner (Abd Majid and et.al., 2020). It provides a lot of
benefits to higher education students in term of building strong bond with other learners who are
taking initiative to complete their education. It helps to convey important message into simple
language and allow to transfer in term of written or oral.
Academic writing skills-
This skill is also required to be a higher education student. Academic writing skill is
important for HE student, because it enable them to see perspectives of many people and permit
to form an opinion on it as per the accessible information about specific topic. It is highly
important for not only for university learners but also for those who work in a company. It helps
to present gather data into presentable manner.
Research skills-
A higher education student must have this skill along with above two, because it is
beneficial and essential for them, in term of making learner able to collect appropriate data about
