INTRODUCTION
Personal and professional development is termed as a procedure that allows an
organisations or individual to continuously learn. This allows them to fulfil future desired
objectives and challenges in effective way (Clivaz and Langenbach, 2020). While on the other
hand, reflection is an analytical practice through which an individual describe or access his past
experiences and actions. It facilitate an individual to access their own experience and identify
self strengths and weaknesses through which they can assure their future growth and
development in efficient manner. Present report has been made on reflection of professional and
personal managerial and leadership skills such as time management, presentation, stress
management and more. For this Kolb's reflective cycle is considered.
EMPLOYABILITY SKILLS
There are various forms of employability skills that allows an individual to assure higher
personal and professional growth. These are such as time management, leadership, organised
meeting, presentation skills and leadership style. With these skills, they can also maximise their
career opportunity growth in effective manner (Lazenby, McCulla and Marks, 2020).
Management
Management skills possess the tendency to provide assistance to an individual in carrying
out the day to day tasks within any settings in an effective manner. According to my perception,
by undertaking advantage of management skill, an individual can have access to wide range of
growth opportunities. This skill has been developed by me with the assistance of coaching and
counselling. This skill facilitates me to be a multitasker and save my unnecessary time through
which I can effectively be able to maximise my productivity as an individual.
Leadership
Leadership skills is having an effective tendency through which an individual can
effectively guide or motivate individuals or group towards a certain goal or shared objectives.
With the assistance of these skills accomplishment of goals can be assured with great efficiency
(Karlberg and Bezzina, 2020). It has been evaluated by me that, leadership skill is not inborn in
me, this skill has been duly acquired by me through observation. As I used to observe behaviour
of my seniors, peers and subordinates that enhanced leadership skill in me. This skill allows me
to effectively guide or lead other individuals towards underlined goals and objectives.

Communication
Communication skills allow me to foster healthy relationship with other individuals while
developing a sense of trust in each other. Communication skill assists me to resolve as well as
prevent different issues and problems in effective manner. This skill also aids me as a leader, as
it proves to be an effective element for leadership as leaders are required to offer clear and
accurate direction to individuals and team members. This skill further facilitate me towards
developing healthy relationship with other that enhanced by engagement in the process of
decision making through which all the essential activities get accomplished in effective and
efficient manner.
Team work
Team work is an essential element of employability skills. It allows an individual to
perform roles and responsibilities with others in cooperative manner (Ryder and Campbell,
2020). It not only enhances efficiency of end outcomes but also facilitate individual to learn
different skills and acquire useful informations from other team members. Team work increases
collaborative skill in an individual that enhances their capability to perform work in effective
manner while respecting viewpoint of other. It significantly maximise person professional
growth and impressively enhance their confidence. Being a confident person I enhanced by team
working skill that increases my career growth opportunity in significant manner. With the help of
this skill, accomplishment of underlined goals and objectives get fulfilled in responsible and
efficient manner. It has been evaluated by me that now a days many organisations are promoting
team work in their workplace culture. Thus, this skill have significant opportunity to maximise
career growth and development of individual in efficient manner.
Organisation/ Time Management
Organisation and time management skill is a crucial factor that facilitate an entity to fulfil
their goals and objectives in time effective manner (Havea and Mohanty, 2020). With the
assistance of time management all the underlined activities or objectives get accomplished in a
systematic and time effective manner. In addition to this, it is being determined that, both time
and organisation management plays crucial role and acts as an essential as well as powerful
combination that facilitate an entity or individual to fulfil their objectives in time effective
manner. With the help of time management skill I can segregate large number of activities in
smaller and manageable parts that further helps in reducing time and cost to fulfil them. This

skill maximised my growth opportunities and aid me to fulfil my goals and targets in time

KOLB’S REFLECTIVE MODEL
Kolb's reflective model mainly showcase reflection component significance in learning
cycle. It is being underlined that, with the assistance of reflection individual or student can
effectively reflect the experience that they acquired from any work (Holmes, 2020). With this,
individual can maximise their observation skill in effective manner. Kolb's reflective cycle
mainly include four different stages that are being elaborated below through which personal
experience can be reflected.
Concrete experience
Being the first stage of this model, concrete experience include performance of an
individual in any group, team or individual basis with a workplace. It has been evaluated by me
that, I undertake use of active involvement practical exercises in order to develop presentation,
debates, problem-solving, team games in order to accomplish my roles accordingly.
Reflective observation
It is the second stage of this model, at this stage I take out some of my time that I used to
invest in my day to day activities from allotted task. In this time, I effectively review my
performance and identify things that I have experienced. This has been evaluated by me that, at
reflective observation stage communication skill significantly assist me to ask necessary

questions from my team mates without any hesitation. As to review my performance I take use
of feedbacks and observations.
Abstract conceptualisation
This is the third stage of Kolb's reflective cycle, in this activities associated to making
sense of past experience is being done in addition with interpretation of event. For this, I
conducted a formative comparison among what I have accomplished as to reflect on what in
already know. To conduct this process effectively I take advantage of facts and theories,
observation, ideas from colleagues and more. For this research skill aid me in number of ways.
Active experimentation
This is Kolb’s reflective model last stage, in this I consider and emphasise upon the
manner in which reflection I accomplished by me of my past learnt experience or practice. To
effectively conduct this process I undertake advantage of planning skill through which I translate
and understand my past experiences. Main aim for this is to make future predictions in order to
enhance my growth and skill effectiveness. For this, I take advantage of problem-solving skill in
order to revise the tasks in proper time frame.
ACTION PLAN
On the basis of analysis, it has been identified that my weak skill areas are written
communication skills and decision making skills. Given beneath is an action plan which
demonstrates the course of action that would be taken to enhance performance within the weak
skill areas:-
