INTRODUCTION
Leadership can be defined as a process and act through
which individual influence thoughts and actions of others.
In context of organisation leadership undertake process of
influencing those who are working in the organisation.
Influencing them in this context involves that leader
ensures that members and employees are working towards
achievement of organisational visions and objectives.

LEADERSHIP AND ITS ROLE IN ORGANISATIONAL SUCCESS
Leadership is most important element of success of an organisation. This is because
leadership involves developing and setting vision and others strive to achieve this vision.
Vision for the organisation gives basis and foundation for all the activities of organisation
and this is why leadership is important. Later this involve that employees are working
towards attainment of vision and objectives which has been determined by the leader.

IMPORTANCE OF LEADERSHIP
 Leaders initiate actions and members follow these actions.
 Motivating and encouraging members along with giving proper guidance
so that they can achieve their objectives in most effective manner.
 Setting standard which can be followed by members and giving
knowledge to members about what is expected from them.
These are some of the reasons which make leadership important for the
overall success of the Amazon which is leaded by its founder Jeff Bezos.

AMAZON INC. AND ITS LEADER
Jeff Bezos, American industrialist, media proprietor and
investors and leader of one of the top four technology
companies in the world Amazon. Amazon Inc. is an Amaerical
multinational Media and Technology Company founded in
1994 and is based at Seattle. Amazon mainly focuses on e-
commerce, cloud computing, digital streaming and artificial
intelligence.

AMAZON AND ITS LEADERSHIP
Leadership is important at every organisation and as organisation become successful and grows
bigger leadership becomes more important not just to make it more successful but to ensure and
maintain its present success. Leader of Amazon Inc. Jeff Bezos has leaded Amazon Inc. very
effectively and has made significant contribution is success of Amazon Inc. In context of Amazon
Inc. its leadership style is own leadership style of Jeff Bezos. There are several styles of leadership
that leader can adapt and apply to lead members and organisation.
Leadership style which has been adopted by Jeff Bezos is Transformational leadership style.
Transformational leadership style is considered by leadership style which mainly focuses on growth
and success of the organisation through constantly transforming the practices of the organisation.

TRANSFORMATIONAL LEADERSHIP STYLE
Transformational leadership style is one in which leaders encourage, inspire and
motivate members so that they innovate and bring change in the existing
practices so that they can contribute in success and growth of the organisation.

This means that leaders having transformations style of leadership
consistently promote vision, mission and set of values to the members in
order to motivate members to achieve them. Their vision is compelling that
they are very clear about what they want. Regarding Jess Bezos it is said that
even after being so successful and top leader he still has vision at a new
entrepreneur.

transformational leaders encourage followers to be
innovative and creative in their approach. Innovation and
creativity extends in every aspect of work and is not
limited to product and services which are being provided.

Transformation leadership gets affected by this factor as
leader can only influence followers and members when
they do what they preach. This means that leader
influences becoming role model and wins trust and respect
from followers.

This factor of transformational leadership involves that leader act as
mentor to the members and rewards them for their innovation and
creativity. Individualised consideration involves that followers are treated
differently according to their talent and knowledge.
Jeff Bezos is one fine example of leader having transformational leadership
style and success of Amazon Inc reflect success of his leadership and
leadership style.

CONCLUSION
On the basis of above discussion it can be concluded that
leadership is significant for success of the organisation and this
success of leadership gets affected by style of leadership which is
adopted and applied by the leader.
