INTRODUCTION
This report is based on personal development plan because it is very necessary to build
and develop some skills and knowledge so that candidate can achieve their gaols and objectives.
Personal development is similar important to professional development (Daniels, 2019). It is
identifying that now organisation are focuses on development of their employees due to increase
in competition. Both development is very helpful for career development as it assists in creating
future opportunities. This report covers the ways to develop some skills in order to get future
options.

Career Development plan
Career Development plan is a list of long term and short term goals that are formulated
by an individual to achieve success. Career is an important part in life of ever individual. It is
important for a person to know about the strengths and weakness that they posses (De Vecchi
and et. al., 2018). The plan has various steps and the sequence in which a person can effectively
choose the career. A student should make the plan in a way that helps him to achieve success. It
is important to fulfil the tasks as per the plans. The long term plan should be in such a manner
that will the person to live happily. It is important that the student is clear and know what he/ she
wants to do in future. First of all the career option should be selected and then the career
development plan should be formulated in a way that is achievable.
Action Plan
It is a detailed plan that is important and help to achieve the set targets and objectives. It
has various steps that tell about the time that will be required to develop a skill. Along with the
way in which the skill can be developed. As it important to monitor the performance and the
skills gained success criteria is also mentioned in the action plan.

According to above action plan I analysed I have two options in career according to my
skills and knowledge. As I wanted to joined in a retail industry. I have two options according to
my skills and knowledge that are marketing department and technical department. For that
purpose there are some important qualifications that are required for a good job in a retail
industry (Smilde, 2018). All needed qualifications are mentioned below:
 It is identifying that for a good reputed job candidates require some basic qualification
that helps them to perform their role efficiently.
 They need to be graduate in marketing subject in under graduate (Dutton, 2018).
 They also required to get a degree in marketing and business in post graduate.
 They should have minimum 3 years of experience in the field of marketing.
It is identifying that I want to get a job in TESCO and Sainsbury's that are the biggest
retailer of UK. TESVO and Sainsbury's have many benefits for the employees as they provide
various entitlements for employees that they enjoy.

Curriculum Vitae
It is the must document which assist candidates to give information about them to the
interviewers (Griban and et. al., 2018). As I wanted a job in retail industry that requires skills and
knowledge which I have attained from my education. CV helps me to identify the job in retail
industry. It should be good presentable so that companies get attracted and approached me for
job purpose.

Reflection
I identified that personal and professional development is very necessary for getting
better future opportunity (Doak, 2018). It is very important for me that I have to understand the
importance of personal and professional development. It is identifying that I have a good
communication and analytical skills which helps me to identify the factors on the given situation.
My skills are according to my future oriented job. It is very important for me that I have to
develop more skills so that I can complete my task and I have to attain my goals and objectives.
According to my above action plan I should take necessary step for developing and improving
some skills which assist in achievement of goals and objectives (Kostoulas and et. al., 2019). I
identified that time management skills are very important for me to develop so that I can
accomplice my gaols on time. Time management skills are very crucial as it assist in timely
achieving of objectives. There are many projects which have some deadline and time
management skills give assist me to complete that project. It is very necessary for every
candidates that they should take necessary corrective actions in order to improve their time
management skills because it is the key element of success and growth of person. When a person
is looking forward to get success then they should have a time management skills so that they
can be a punctual person who always ready for completion of tasks.
As per my CV, I identified that I have enough qualification but yes I have to develop
some more skills such as analytical thinking skills. It is very necessary for me so that I can get a
job in my dreaming company. I can complete my all dreams with the help of improvement in my
personality. I have to take necessary corrective actions such as some course that helps me to
work on skills and knowledge (Brewerton, Alexander and Schaefer, 2019). After the brief
analysis I take a decision that I have to take some course which gives me lectures on improving
my personality. It is identifying that I have to also improve my physical personality that give a
good impression on interviewer. It is beneficial for me as it helps me to achieve all my dreams
come true.
CONCLUSION
It is concluded from the above discussion that very person need to focus on personal as
well as on professional development. It helps in achievement of ultimate goals of a person.

Personal development helps in building necessary skills which helps me to generate a better
employment opportunities. Whereas professional development is helpful in creating higher
efficiency in my performance so that organisation get higher productivity. With the help of
[professional development it assist in creating a growth opportunity in organisation.
