INTRODUCTION
Personal development is consider as process which is uses by people to increase their
understanding and knowledge regarding a particular thing that helps to management the
performance. To improve the insights individuals are using different approaches and strategies
that help to perform well and increase the organisational productivity. If people have good
understanding and capabilities then they can compete with other and increase brand awareness.
This involves types of possible learning opportunities and meetings that helps to meet with
organisational goals. This report is categorised in to two parts. The presentation part is based on
Jeff Bezos who is the CEO of Amazon. This presentation covers role of leadership in achieving
success. The another part is report that covers employability skills and study skills that helps to
manage the business activities.

From the above discussion it has defined that skills are important for organisation and
people which helps to fill all needs that required to run a business effectively. individual
presentation is consider as opportunity that give a chance to speak in front of other and influence
them effectively. Employability skills are set of behaviour and skills that is necessary for every
job. These skills are helpful for Jeff Bezos to face the challenges and run a business profitability.
While conducting research about Jeff Bezos I noticed many points about my skills and
capabilities that helped me to improve knowledge and understanding. It has developed my
confidence level between the people by sharing and expressing my opinions and ideas that make
be a professional. While conducting research I noticed that I am weak in some employability and
professional that can create a problem for me. To be a successful entrepreneur and business
concern there is need to have enough knowledge and skills that can help me out to solve the
issues which are related to particular job role. As I am weak in mathematics, statics and
agreeableness skills that can be me to be highly successful business concern in competitive

environment. To improve my weakness and increase profitability there is need to make strategies
and planning by regular practices that can help me out to be successful. For instance, Jeff Bezos
is having different skills and employability skills that helps to manage the performance. I also
noticed that soft and hard skills are needed to perform different roles and responsibilities in a
organisation that helps to improve themselves.
At the time of preparing reflective report I realised that learning model is also important
part of improving skills that helps to identify the weakness and bring changes accordingly so all
activities can be perform easily. For this Gibbs reflective model best model that states that
without the bond of employer and staff a good and solid working environment cannot be created.
With my experience about searching the qualities of Jeff Bezos it was crucial that I worked with
head of organisation manager where I improved my knowledge by using such model. The
description of Gibbs model in improving learning and experience that are as defined:
Description – This is the first stages in which a person is needed to identify the facts
regarding what happed, when and where etc. While undertaking course, I had to prepare
individual presentation by gathering information regarding Jeff Bezos and about his biography
that can help me to know hoe it has become a successful. For this, I required to read the concepts
very carefully should understand roles and how such person was able to lead the people. All
information help me to improve my verbal and written communication skills as I will interacts
with some people and gather information then will prepare a report.
Feeling – This stages of Gibbs learning model is uses to discuss feeling and thoughts
about experience that covers question how you feel at that time? This stage helps to understand
the mental state of an individual and need to give the presentation that can vary situation to
situation. While preparing individual report and presentation I felt that I managed patiently all
situation and problems as I was highly confident and challenge acceptable skill that helped me to
prepare a report and improve knowledge more regarding employability skills. Before applying
this stages I was felt that I am unable to manage multiple situation but it was wrong because I
handled all situations and problems properly.
Evaluation – This stage is related to evaluation where a person is required to identify
their experience and ability of individual that has impacted good and bad on situation. While
undertaking leadership roles I could evaluate the good and bad experience while preparing a
report that helped to gain my knowledge as well and skills. At the time of presenting ideas in

front of all I felt nervous that could be reason of facing challenge and unsuccessful. But problem
solving skills, technical, IT and confidence skills helped me to improve my knowledge and
experience. Moreover, communication and IT skills are those skills which helped me out to
overcome the nervous and complete the assignment.
Analysis – This stage of Gibbs reflective model is uses to analysis and identify the reason
of situation which is faced by individual at the time of preparing reflective report. At the time of
giving presentation I fumbled that situation which faced the reason behind lack of decision
making, communication skills and resource management skills that has created problems. This
has created problems at the time of working.
In addition, in other skills I was good that helped to overcome the problems. I may not
always need to be verbal or written but both are mandatory. With this I arranged different
workshops and exercises for myself which will enable me to acquire such skills as I can boost
my employability for this. What an interpretation should be based on the results of the statements
provided to me by the examiners and the input I got from my friends and colleagues on a
personal level. On top of that, the difficulty I faced was linked to time management. This is
because my period for the presentation I took in comparison to the duration of the document was
too long.
Conclusion – This is another stage in which individual bring changes in their process or
bring improvement for next time. This helps to get the positive experience and maintain the good
performance. In other words, this stage of Gibbs learning model is uses to understand from the
lesson and situation which is faced by me at the time of completing project. With the help of
conclusion stage I noticed that in need to improve my some skills more such as management,
communication, leadership, problems solving etc. that are required to perform well and increase
the organisational performance. Moreover, I realised that I need to practice of such skills and
qualities so such problems will not face again. By improving knowledge and understanding I can
able to attain the business goals and objectives.
Action plan – This stage of reflective model states that all plans and action are needs to
solve the similar situation and problems by implementing plans. The last stage of reflective
model states that I could identify the actions that helps to improve the employability skills by
gathering information. By conducting research, I found and increased knowledge by reading

knowledge, verbal and written communication skills that helps to perform well and become
successful.
The use of ICT- This refers as information and communication technology that uses by
individual for the purpose of enhancing quality of education. By using this knowledge a person
can improve their knowledge and organisational profitability. At the time of preparing reflective
report I noticed that ICT projects are important for increasing knowledge and learning that
processes to face the challenges and become a successful.
Team work – This is another important aspects which is important for organisation and
individuals to accomplish the goals. In previous studies I noticed that Jeff Bezos is working in a
team collectively that helps to perform well and accomplish the business goals. This increases
understanding how people can help to attain the goals and maintain high productivity. I am good
in team work which help to accept the challenges and risk with team member and we got
succeed.
Time and self-management skills – These are those skills which is required to perform
well and manage the work effectively. In reflective report I felt that time and self-management.
This skill helped me to manage all functions and activities properly that helped to attainment the
organisational goals.
Therefore, these are employability and study skills that are used by me at the time of
preparing reflective report and improve the performance. This also contributed to achievement of
employability and study skills.
CONCLUSION
From the report it can be concluded that there are different reflective learning models
that are uses by people and individual to improve their learning and increase knowledge. This
learning helps to face the problems and challenges effectively and maintain the good
performance. By using Gibbs and Kolb reflective learning theory all actions are implemented by
people that helps to attain the success.
