This is the second largest chain of budget hotel sector in UK. In thisreport, understanding of self-managed learning to enhance lifelong development is done.Responsibility of own personal and professional development is provided, so that the employeewill be able to do that. Apart from that, implementation and continually reviewing own personaland professional development plan is also explained. In the end, interpersonal and transferableskills are demonstrated.TASK 11.1 Evaluate approaches to self-managed learning.Self-managed learning is an art of learning through own skills and learning ability of anindividual. This type of learning approach helps an individual in an organization to work withmore concentration (Ekanayake and Wishart, 2015). Apart from that, it also helps in the personaldevelopment of an individual. As a manager in Travelodge, it is essential to provide differenttypes of approaches to the employees so as to develop their interpersonal skills. The approachesof self-managed learning are explained below:Coaching:These are the classes or meetings which enables the employees to learn new things.Coaching help the employees in an organization to develop their own skills. These coaching areheaded by the experts for providing the knowledge of a particular aspect. As a manager inTravelodge, it is believed that coaching will help the employees in increasing their knowledge aswell as experience.Internet:Internet is one of the key source of collecting information. The information collectedthrough internet can help the manager of Travelodge to develop their personal and professionalskills. The tasks allotted to employees can also be completed within time. Apart from that, theemployees can allow themselves to work with their full potential.
