INTRODUCTION
Personal and professional development refers to the plan that help you in learning and
growth throughout your career. It is very important to have the continuous learning so that an
individual can get the new things in order to enhance their competencies to have development so
that an individual can have the high standard of living in the society(Johnson and Johnson,
2017). The main motive of the report is to improve by knowledge and skills in the different
areas that will help in my personal and professional development. This report will cover the
various skills that are needed for the individual development and the knowledge in different
sectors like team management, communication, time management, research skills and problem
solving skills. Furthermore, this report will cover the Gibbs reflective model so that it become
easy to analyse and examine my learning during this module.
MAIN BODY
Reflection journal is the entity or the written document where you write the daily
reflection entries. There can be something good or bad had happened that have refection on
themselves or may be learned from the past experience (Herro and Quigley, 2017). It help me
learning the various concept that had happened in the past. In this report, I will analyse the
leadership style and skills that Jeff Bezos have used in their business and earn high profitability
and growth that leads to retain in the market for a longer period of time. During this study, I have
analysed the various skills that I have to work upon them in order to improve myself and for that
I have have listed down the skills like time management, research skills, communication skills,
problem-solving skills. In my learning, I have faced many challenges in completing this project
and the main objective of this project is to enhance the personal and professional enhancement so
that I can grow in my career and get the dream job according to my preferences. Furthermore, I
will evaluate my skills by using the Gibbs reflective model that leads to know the areas of my
personal and professional development.
Communication skills-verbal and written
Communication is the medium of transferring the information form one person to another
in order to make them understand. This skills helps the individual to have the right information
to in order to complete a specific task. It is very important to improve the ability of listening in
order to work with different prospectives. I have a task of analysing the leadership style and skill

of Jeff Bezos so I will enhance my oral communication skills so that I will be able to present my
self in the large audience and easily make other understand with my action plan and strategies for
the future development. At the same time, I will improve my writing skills for a structured
report writing in the assigned project. Through this project, I can convey my thoughts in an
easier and effective manner that will be surely understandable by the audience.
Research skills
It is the skills through which an individual will get smart enough to do the research for
extract, locate and organize on a related topic(Koner and Eros, 2019). It is the method of
collecting, analysing, searching that data that will be useful in the further study. For this, I have
participated in the various activity for improving myself in order to learn in the leadership style
and skills adopted by Jeff Bezos to maintain the employees trust on me that I am having the right
skills and competencies that I am using in the an operation. I will enhance my research skill by
performing research on a assigned topic that will improve my searching and analysing skills that
will help in professional development.
The use of ICTs
Information and communication technology is the skills that is used for the effective
retrieve, assess, store, produce and present the information for the respective network with the
help of internet(Golightley and Holloway, 2018). This technique will help in collaborating with
the order department ans teams so that objective an be easily achieved in order to gain high
profitability within an organisation. This technology includes the computer programs like
spreadsheets, power point, database and search engines. During my learning, I will improve my
ICTs skills so that I can easily work by using different computer programs. For this, I am
participating in the activity in which I have assigned the computer work and handle all the
database that will help in enhancing the computer skills.
Team work
When the individual are working in a team with the motive of achieving the common
objective. There is a link between communication and team work as effective communication
will completing of the various task in an appropriate manner and also help in passing the
information to the right person using the right channel of communication. During this module, I

have task part in various activities that helps in enhancing my skills in working in a team by
communicating effectively among the teammates.
Time and self management
It is the skills that shows the productivity at the workplace like effective communication,
strengthening the memory, resisting stress and proper management of time. During this module, I
have take part in various activities which help me in managing my time so that each task can be
done within a set time frame. It will help in personal and professional development.
Problem solving skills
It is the skill by which an individual analyse the problem and find the solution so that
problem can get resolved in a effective manner (Dyrbye, Lipscomb and Thibault, 2020). During
this module, I have analysed the various qualities of Jeff Bezos that he is suing in problem soling
and establish leading company. This will help me to be a good leader in the respect field by
analysing the problem and getting it solved in an easy approach and I can enjoy my work and
solve the problem in keep and calm manner.
Gibbs Reflective cycle
It is the model which helps an individual to showcase their feelings that they are
experiencing during this work. It help in evaluating my feeling in the six step that is explained as
follows:
Description: This is the first step of this model in which detail information about the
situation is given that what had happened during this module. In this project, I have taken the
topic related to the Jeff Bezos leadership style and skills that help him in generating higher
profitability (De Vecchi and et. al., 2018). I can make the presentation so that everyone can
easily understand the respective topic and also included various activities like brain storming,
communication, research, team work etc. During this module, I have face several challenges like
not getting support by me teammates and of that I am reducing my effectiveness in my work but
my seniors help me in improving my performance by minimizing the challenges that I have
faced in this module.
Feeling: During the learning, I have enjoyed a lot but at the same time I have not got the
support of my teammates and this reduced my efficiency and tried to take step back and get
demotivated and hopeless and fail to speak in front of large audience but with the support of my

seniors, I get over it and able to present myself in front of large audience. They help me in
problem solving and also help in performing the various task with the right approach.
Evaluation: It shows the good and bad reflection during the module, when I am
participating in the various activities(Davies, Curtin and Robson, 2017). The good side is getting
support of seniors so that I improved my skills related to the communication. Self-management
and problem solving. The bad one is loosing the self confidence that reduce my effectiveness in
my work.
Analyse : This step helps in analysing the complete project as the corporation of the
senior have the significance rile in the development of mine and bad behaviour by the teammates
make be stronger and I have fought and overcome the various challenges that I have faced during
this module.
Conclusion: It is concluded from the above observation that I can have a healthy
discussion with my teammates so that the can give me new ideas in my future development and
also have the maintain good relationship with my seniors so that they motivate me for my
effective working.
Action plan: This is the last step in which I make the future plan and can work in all
these activities and can manage them in a right approach and it includes presentation, team work,
time management.
CONCLUSION
It is concluded from the above report that personal and professional development of the
individual is very important so that they can make their future plans and can grow with bright
career. In this module, there are various activities and leads the various skills like communication
skills, time management and self management. Furthermore, Gibbs reflection model is used that
help in knowing my feeling in the project and also help me in development in the various areas.
