INTRODUCTION In this 21stcentury, effective leadership plays an important role in every organisation as it ensure enhancement in productivity level and achievement of organisational objectives in a timely and appropriate manner. It is important for higher authorities and leaders of an entity to have an effective leadership characteristics and skills as well as it help in motivating staff members that has positive influence on an organisational vision and objectives as well. In addition to this, there are various skills and characteristic of a leader that is passionate, confident, ethical, courageous, determined, collaborating, empowering and many more(Farahnak, 2020). All such skills & characteristic assist leaders and business managers to enhance productivity of staff members up to a high level that aid in achieving organisation objectives within stipulated time period. Along with this, it is analysed that such leadership characteristic and skill allow business managers to inspire and encourage staff members and engage them for longer time period. In addition to this, it is determine that such leadership skills help higher authorities to guide and instruct a team towards performing a particular task and achievement of common goals as well. With the help of this, business managers are able to aligned activities with the mission, values, objectives and vision of company due to which it gain growth and success at marketplace. Further, business managers can also develop positive working culture at workplace that create a positive mind set of employees towards organisation and its activities as well. Development of cooperation and coordination in employees take place because of effective leadership skills and characteristics as well. One of the significant factor that is occur because of effective leadership skills as well as characteristic is it help in building confidence in staff members to perform the activities and operations in an appropriate manner. task and then assigned activities to employees in a proper manner that will help in enhancement of performance and productivity in an appropriate way(Fleming, 2019). Role that leadership plays in achieving the overall success of Amazon Amazon is one of the renowned multinational organisation that emphasis on e-commerce, digital streaming, cloud computing and artificial intelligence as well. Jeff Bezos, the CEO of Amazon consider that employees are the important and main source of company revenue generation. Herein, Leadership plays an important roleto simulate and manage their behaviour of staff members that leads towards higher growth and success as well. In addition to this, it is determine that managers of Amazon allow its staff members to take risk so that they can learn something new that has positive impact on their skills and capabilities as well. Along with this, an effective leadership also respective company to provide staff members a meaningful vision and mission by declining level of confusion and clearly guiding them towards objectives. Moreover, an effective leadership boost the morale of employees that directly impact on performance and productivity of Amazon in a positive manner(Nasab and Afshari, 2019). Therefore, it is evaluated that leadership is one of the key factor by which performance of employees is enhanced and achievement of organisational objectives take place with in given time frame. Leadership skills and styles followed by Jeff Bezos Jeff Bezos uses transformational leadership style to run Amazon Inc. In order to follow this leadership style commitment towards relationship with employees in the organisation is ensured by leader. A transformational leader is required to bring changes through his words. Jeff Bezos is committed to bring awareness in followers about the vision of company. In order to develop a culture supporting innovation and creativity it is necessary for a leader to inspire, motivate and encourage everyone in organisation. Along with it he also worked on financial performance which made a benchmark in industry. With his exceptionalcommunicationskills and inspiring personality Jeff Bezos successfully applied transformational leadership in Amazon Inc(Zaman, 2019). Transformational leadership theory This theory depicts that a leader need to work with the team members in order to identify the requirement of change and it is also useful in creating prominent vision in order to provide significant guidance and support to their employees. It is opted by Jeff Bezos at the time of implementing change as this leadership style tends to enhance the motivation level of employees, morale and overall job performance of workers. Leaders who opt this leadership have the charismatic appeal but charisma is not only sufficient in order to bring changes in which company operates. In regard of this, Jeff Bezos undertake various factors like inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, idealized influence and individualised consideration.
