INTRODUCTION
Personal and professional development refers to the goal, strategies and outcomes that is
set by an individual person during learning and training. it is an framework in which a person is
engage in the learning process that will help in achieving the goal that an individual person wants
to achieve. if one person wants to improve and enhance their knowledge and skill than they
involved in the development of their career to earn a high respect and high standard of living in
the society. The main objective of making this report is to increase my personal knowledge in
various sectors that helps in enhancing my personal and professional development. This report is
based on the achieving the employability and study skills by enhancing the knowledge in
different areas like communication, team management, time management, research skill and the
problem solving skills. This project report also involves the use of Gibbs reflective model so that
it becomes easy to analyse and examine my feeling during the whole module(Kroll and Dussias,
2017).
MAIN BODY
Reflective journal is defined as a place that showcases the daily reflection of the activities
that was considered in the day-to day life. It included all the reflection that is based on good or
bad experience and also helps in showing what a person is learning during this time. In this
module I have assigned a task of analyzing the different leadership style and skills and what Jeff
Bezos leadership style that helps in achieving the Amazon profits and sustainability in the
marketplace for a long run(Williams, Carpenter and Timms, 2015). During this time I have
involved in various task that helps in enhancing my various skills like research skills,
communication skill, problem solving skills and various other skills. At time I have faced many
issues and challenges in completing the project. The main objectives of doing this project is that
I will enhance my personal and professional skills that will helps in my whole life and also
increase my standard of living in the society. Further I will analyze my all skills and their
experienced by using Gibbs reflective model that includes six phases and all this helps in
enhancing the personal and professional skills(Mahlanze and Sibiya, 2017).

Communication skills-verbal and written
It refers to that skill in which information is transferred from one person to another in a
simpler and understanding way so that the listener can understand it very effectively without any
doubt. To enhancing the ability of work with other it is very essential to improve the
communication skills(Mahlanze and Sibiya, 2017). During the module I have assigned a task
related to the Jeff Bezos leadership style at this time I will enhance my oral communication skill
by presenting my work with larger audience and this all fulfills by inspiring the Jeff Bezos
communication style. In this time I have also improve my written communication skill by
written the report on the assigned project. Because of this report I can convey all my thoughts
and ideas in a clear way that will easily and effectively understand by the audience. it will
increase my personal and employability skills(Rowe, 2017).
Research skills
It refers to that skill which shows the ability to search for extract, locate, organize and
evaluate all the information about the relevant topic. It is the capability of finding, searching,
collecting and analyzing the data and makes it useful for being studied. During this module I
have participated in many activities and one of the activities is related to the leadership style and
skill that is used by the Jeff Bezos in achieving the employees trust and Amazon success. At this
time I will enhance my research skill by investigate the topic I will enjoy it because it improves
my searching and analyzing skill that is very helpful as in increasing the employability and study
skills(Chretien and et. al., 2015).
The use of ICTs
Information and communication technology is very useful skill as it will helps in
efficiently store, collect, retrieve and present all the skills that is use to communicate and
collaborate the various other teams and functions in a one unit to achieves the overall objectives.
it includes the use of various computer programs like spreadsheets, PowerPoint, search engines
and the databases. During the module I will enhanced my ICT skills like use the various
programs of the computers in an effective way. At the time of participating in the activity I have
assigned to work on computer and handle all the data on it this helps in increasing the knowledge
about the computer and it will help me to enhance the employability skill(Meek, 2016).

Team work
It refers to the quality of work in a team and achieves the overall objectives. This skill is
connected with the effective communication skills and active listen skill between the members of
the teams. During this module I have participated in the team activity that helps me to work will
cooperation and collaboration to achieve the overall task. because of team work I will increase
my communication and listening skill that is very important in enhancing my study and
employability skills(Mahlanze and Sibiya, 2017).
Time and self management
It refers to those skills that shows the productivity at the workplace like resisting stress,
communicate properly, strengthening memory and managing the time. During this module I have
work with teachers and my seniors that work for managing the time and also manage themselves
at this time I have learnt by seeing them to work in an effective way without taking any stress.
This helps in increase my time and self management skills which are very important to gain the
personal and professional life and this gives the fruitful result in my future(Williams, Carpenter
and Timms, 2015).
Problem solving skills
It showcases that skill in which a person can analyse the problem and forms a solution to
solve that problem. During this module I have inspired by the Jeff Bezos style of solving
problem. when he face any problem he is very calm and thinks to solve the problem in a creative
way without talking stress this help in achieving the success of the Amazon. This assignment is
very fruitful for me as in this experts also helps me to solve the problem and I can enjoy this and
solve the problem in a very calm nature(Mahlanze and Sibiya, 2017).
Gibbs Reflective cycle
This model is established by the Graham Gibbs since 1988 that includes the six steps. It
helps in showcase the feeling that a person is experienced during the work. This model is very
helpful for me to evaluate my feeling in the six steps that can be shown below(Swain, 2016).
Description – This phase refers to the detail situation about what was happened during
the module. During this module I have currently involved in the project related to the Jeff Bezos
leadership style and skills that helps in achieving the Amazon success. In this I can make a

presentation and present it into the larger audience. At the same time I also involves in various
other activities like group discussion, brain storming, presentation to increase my over skills. At
this time I can involves in the various task like communication, research, team work, time
management etc(Rowe, 2017). and all this with the support of seniors and teachers. During the
activities I have facing the problem of not getting the support with my mates and due to this I
cannot present myself in to the larger audience. Because of this I will little disappoint and cannot
perform my task effective but in this my seniors supports me a lot as they are mature enough to
understand my problem and supports me during the whole session(Kroll and Dussias, 2017).
Feeling- At the time of performing the activities and completing the task I enjoyed a lot
but at the same time because of not getting the supports with my mates I feel to take a step back
and setting quite with the lack of confidence and inability to speck in front of larger people. But
because of my seniors and teachers I can present my assignment related to the leadership style
and skills of the Jeff Bezos in a very effective way that everyone enjoys this and feel great to
know about the style of Jeff sir. This will helps in solving the problem of lack of speaking and
confidence. I also participate in various other activities like brainstorming, group discussion and
helps in enhancing my thinking skill and team management skills(Kaya and et. al., 2017).
Evaluation- It helps in showing the good or bad reflection during the module, at the time
of participating in the activities the good one is supporting nature of the seniors that will very
helpful in enhancing the skills related to communication, team management, self management,
problem solving that will helps in my future terms. The bad one is I can loose my confidence
because of not understanding the mates due to this I cannot face the larger audience and convey
my thoughts effectively(Kaya and et. al., 2017).
Analyse – This step helps in analyzing the whole project and showing the cooperation
and blockage that was present during the activities. in this as a corporation my senior play a
significant role that encourage me to complete the task and as they helps in communicating in
front of larger audience and also helps in time management and problem solving. I also evaluated
that because of good cooperation of the senior team can be managed well and work can done in
an very effective and efficient way(Chretien and et. al., 2015).

Conclusion – By analyzing the above situation it is concluded that I can talked to my
mates at the same tome when they demotivating me to not create a blockage to not complete the
task. and it also shows that maintain the good relation with the seniors because they helps in
completing the task with lots of motivation(Sanz, Molt and Puerta, 2015).
Action plan – It is the last step in which if in future I can participate in any of the
following activity I can manage it very well and develops the good relation with the mates so
that it helps in encouraging the task in an prominent way. I can involves the presentation, group
discussion, brain storming skills again and again because it helps in enhancing the knowledge
and also gives the various ideas to solves the problem and how to deal with it(Beijaard and
Meijer, 2017).
CONCLUSION
From the above report it is to be concluded that personal and professional development of
a person is very important to stay in the society and live a standard and respectful life. In this
module I have participated in different activities and due to this I can learn various skills and it
will enhance my various skills like communication, time management, self management,
research skills etc. in an efficient and effective way. in this Gibbs reflective model helps in
analyzing the whole feeling and experiencing at the time of enhancing and learning the skills
which is useful in increasing the study and employment skills. this study helps in managing the
time and maintaining the coordination in the team and enjoy the work and achieves the target in
an timely manner(Beijaard and Meijer, 2017).
