Introduction
Communication refers to the activity of the conveyance of the messages from one entity
or a group of entities to the other through the use of the signs and the symbols that are
understandable by both the entities involved within the communication. The business
communication refers to the communication activities that are observed to have been taking
place within the multitude of business organizations all over the world. The business
communication covers the communications that take place within the organization as well as
those that involve the external stakeholders of the organization (Guffey and Loewy 2016). The
communication channels that are implemented in the various business organizations tend to be
majorly of two types, the personal communication channels and the formal communication
channels.
The following paper aims to discuss the advantages of the various personal
communicational channels that exist within the given organizations. The paper opens with the
discussion on the various personal communication channels that exist within the given
organization and proceeds to discuss the ways in which the personal networks might be
developed within the company. The paper moves along to discuss the concept of the grapevine.
The paper also discusses the concept of the interpersonal communication within the organization.
The paper nears its end with the discussion on the importance of the interpersonal
communication as well as the effects of the interpersonal communication in the various activities
undertaken within the given workplace.

The personal channels of communication refer to the specific communication channels
that enable the effective communication between two different members who have been serving
the organization. The personal communication channels might include the various
communicational methods like the telephonic communicational channels, the communication
that is held between two people who have been physically present in the concerned workplace
scenario (Karjaluoto, Mustonen and Ulkuniemi 2015). The other media that help in facilitating
the personal communication are the mails, especially the e-mails and even the various social
media wherein the employees as well as the respective senior members might share views over a
chat. The implementation of the personal communicational channels is helpful and effective
within an organization. This is due to the fact that the concerned personal channel for the
communication helps in the personal addressal of the employees. The establishment of the
personal channel for the communication further helps in collecting feedback from the concerned
employees on a personal basis. However, there exists some personal communication channels
that are controlled directly by the management of the concerned organization (Phutela 2015).
These channels include the contacts that are maintained by the salesperson with the clients of the
organization.
Development of the personal networks
The personal networks within the given organization might need to be developed in order
to improve the overall performance of the concerned business organization in an effective
manner. The first step towards the development of the personal networks within the business
organization would be the identification of the various influencers within the given organization.
The influencers within an organization generally refer to the people who are observed to be the
well-wishers of the company and help the company in times of need (Quirke 2017). The other
