INTRODUCTIONCultural Safety refers to an outcome which is spiritually, socially and emotionallyharmless, as well as physically safe for people, where there is no racism, discriminationchallenge, assault or denial of their identity of what they need and who they are. This study hasbeen conducted in order to have a detailed study of cultural safety in a health profession(Tweedy, 2014). The profession which was chosen under this study is Nurse. The reportdescribes development of an action plan in order to overcome the barriers faced by nurse andproviding appropriate solution for the same. To explain the need and implementation for such aplan and what resources are required during the plan.MAIN BODYPART 1Action plan refers to sequence of steps which needs to be taken in order to achieve somegoal. Cultural safety plays an important role in a health profession, it is concerned withrelationships between nurses and those in their care (Cramer, 2017). Developing cultural safetyrequires the ability to make adjustments in services which accommodate culturally differentneeds. It works on basic principles:It aims to improve the health status and well-being which will be applied to allrelationships. It aims to enhance the delivery of health services with the help of culturally safeworkforce. So, the Action Plan will be prepared to identify cultural safety followed. Action PlanAction planActions neededObjective To create an opportunity for patients to provide feedback.Learn how to contact relevant interpreters services.Ensure that all relevant health informations at the appropriate healthliteracy level.GoalsTo improve my ability to provide cultural safety practice to theclients that use this service.BarrierPatients reports that they are waiting for too long when the doctor isnot in ward.Patients does not always know who is responsible for their care.1
