Introduction
The aim of this paper is to demonstrate and reflect on my career development plan
including the short - term and long - term goals for my life. Setting mind towards achieving these
goals, objectives in future, and am indulge in commercial activities is one of the strong belief and
attitude of mine. My goal is to live a better life through utilizing the skills and knowledge
gathered during my academics and applies them in the operational activities within the
organization of either my family’s or mine. Being well focused towards achieving the ultimate
goal of my and set some short – term and long – term goals for the enhancement in the
personality development and making better financial outputs is the goal of the life. In the context
of the short – term, I have only option that is to get better and higher grades in my academics
through demonstrating the knowledge and skills gather during this whole time. In the context of
the long – term, I have two options including firstly, be involved in my family’s business
secondly, promote, and expand my own business that I started with my friends. Some of these
qualities are in me from my childhood experience looking at my father however; career
development and self - reflection classes helped me in embracing those qualities and utilizing it
for reaching the goals and purposes of my life.
1. Personal Development Plan
a) Career aspiration
Ultimate goal of my life is to build my own business empire and contribute my all
learnings for the enhancement and output of the business and thus, promote and boost my
interest in the commercial activities. I am completely dependent on my skills and knowledge for
making a bright future. My strengths include better leadership qualities, motivational techniques,

understanding the situation, learning from the environment, and sustain in any environment. In
general, staying calm and never panic due to work load or study load is my personal behavior
however; sometimes it seems to be losing my sector and then, I get little aggressive that has
always resulted in positive manner and always brought a positive outcome for my career. I had
the quality of learning things at single chance by birth and looking forward to keep the same
intelligence for gaining much knowledge and skills that can boost my career. It was always my
attempt to make my career without my family support, utilize my innovative skills, and be
appraised by my parents. This is my long-term goal of the life to be success in business, bring
my own company to the success, and in the same time contribute to my father’s business. My
present time is struggling with my academics and I am looking to get higher academics through
utilizing my skills and experiences gathered during classes. The learning many knowledge and
skills during my classes, developed a road to self-development, and make myself capable of
living a better life without any support of my family business in future.
Professional and Personal Qualities
I have identified e-commerce as a base from where I can start my career and reach to my
predicted goals through applying my skills and knowledge in relation with the entrepreneurship.
My hobby is to keep myself busy and learn from the experienced player for implementing the
theoretical knowledge into practical work. My interest is in making something new and
innovative for making a good business. In manner to make it happen reading many newspapers,
journals, and other informative medium for gaining and understanding the condition of the
current market can be a helpful approach. Good listener is one of my leadership qualities and
thus, I relate the news to me try to listen to them and understand the situation in manner to
comply them in real world of my father’s business or my business. Attempts have been always

driven for being innovative, creative, and loyal to my profession that helps me in delivering the
maximum level of the satisfaction in the real world. My short-term goal is to get higher grades in
my academics and bring my life to the success. For higher grades, it is crucial to present my
dissertation in best manner I could.
Short-Term Goal
For the dissertation, I have planned all the aspects as presented in the Gantt chart in the
next section. My selected topic is “Innovative capabilities of Ramming mass industry in India”
as it is related to my real life and future goals. I have planned how to represent the draft in
manner to make sure that the professors will approve the file I am going to present. I will utilize
online and offline libraries for accessing the data and information available for public domain
and represent a well structured and planned draft that is full of information and future approach
of adding more information. I will be travelling India for collecting efficient data related to my
topic and real results of the individuals working in the same sector that will be helpful in
developing a realistic report. Thereafter, I will be utilizing these data and information for
reaching at a conclusion and demonstrating my capabilities of decision-making. After getting my
grades, applying for my internship in some of the enterprises will be the next step in the career
development that will be helpful in amplifying my skills and knowledge and gain some more
experience related to the best practices in the real world. Thereafter Applying the gained
knowledge, skills, and experiences in my developed business and my family’s business in
manner to keep the status of the output and performance always positive is helpful in all sectors.
I am looking forward to utilize the internal triangle knowledge for enhancing my
leadership qualities as it is already present by birth, however, perishing with theoretical
knowledge will result in far better ways. I have strong self-belief that I am going to get better

Long Term Goals
I have two options in my life those are choosing the family business or driving own
business through my creative and innovative capabilities. My initial interest was always in doing
commerce and bringing financial benefits for my family and me. I do not want to make business
for my needs only rather I want to keep myself busy and utilize every available opportunity for
driving the better and best life living. I can adopt both the options and utilize them for personal
growth and development as both the options are well familiar with me and are of my interest
sector. I can sustain my interest in any of the sector as my ultimate goals turns to be indulge in
commercial activities and make better personal and financial output. I have the quality to manage
extra workload and distribute my schedule for both the scenarios at the same time. This is helpful
in managing all the stakeholders despite of the strength and number of stakeholders and manages
them according to their roles and responsibilities within the organization and business activities.
Another behavior supporting in the growth and development of the personality is the capability
to mold myself as per the need of the scenario and change according to the situations that is
helpful in managing the suppliers and the contractors. Negotiation is another quality of mine that
can result in motivating or manipulating the team members and the employees or staffs. These
personalities will be boosting my personal development and skills in manner to manage the
operational activities within the business.

I have learnt many technical terms those were familiar to me as a single point of concern
however, I get to know that they are very different from each other. One of the important terms
was ‘Operation and Project’ and I learnt that both shares many similarities but are different from
each other due to their specifications. I get to know that operations are the ongoing activities,
projects have ends, and starting, projects intended to be delivered once, operations are mixture of
many recurring tasks and many more. I learnt that project management has mainly five processes
and implementing those five processes in efficient and effective manner can be helpful in gaining
expected output. Common knowledge, common process, singular methodology, benchmarking,
and continuous improvement are the five processes those can be helpful in attaining the
efficiency and effectiveness of the project at higher value.
Theory in Practice
I am also aware with the GAP analysis and techniques for delivering it an efficient and
effective manner. Fishbone is an effective technique for identifying the course of actions and
theory result on the project, assuring not overlooking any objective of the project. I learn about
the scheduling and preparing the schedule in how to develop a project in an efficient and
effective manner. The triple constraints of the project are the major objective for saying that the
project has been delivered successfully. Managerial and leadership skills are the crucial objective
for the delivery of any operation and the project as it helps in managing the objectives and
milestones as per the schedule and allow the leaders and the managers to monitor and evaluate
the growth and development of the project. I am well aware with the PDSA (Plan, Do, Study,
Act) cycle that can be helpful in contributing in the growth and development of the project. It
includes various activities and terms those needed to be introduced and practiced within the real
life for the presentation and demonstration of an effective output. It was helpful approach

towards laying path and way for my personal development and executing the objectives for the

d) Conclusion
Based on the above career development plan I can conclude that my self – belief and
confidence allows me to proceed towards my future, implement the theoretical knowledge in my
personal experience, and drag out the efficient and effective output through applying better skills
and knowledge. I have possessed enough quality that can be utilized within the real life for the
enhancement in the personal and the professional development. I should be balanced focused
between the short – term and long – term goals of the life. However, it is very necessary to
enhance my knowledge of experience to the maximum level and implement them in the real
world through practicing and implementing the theoretical knowledge. I will never stop looking
for learning and the hunger for learning new things are never going to be at an end from my side.
There were certain skills in which I was lacking including managing the aggression, sectors
involved with the feelings, market analysis, data analysis, and many others. I assume that I have
gained control over these feelings and get to know about many options and selection in the
leadership those could be utilized for better management. I have developed the self-development
continuum for the delivery of an effective and efficient business that could bring out better
financial results. I have also developed and enhanced my personal personality in context with the
leadership and management within the business. I learnt about the project planning and tried to
implement that knowledge in the development of the Gantt chart expressed in the paper that
emphasize on the timeline sector for the development of a well and effective personality.
Personality development always contributes in the professional growth and output of the
business. My personal mission statement is to effectively and efficiently manage my family and
my business at the same instance without being panic and without any extra pressure.
