INTRODUCTION
Personal development plan is also known as individual development plan or personal
enterprise plan and it includes a statement of one's goals, education and training, strength or
competencies, stages to indicate how the plan is to be realized (Ghanchi, A., 2020). It may also
include a statement of an individual’s lifestyle and career priorities analysis of opportunities

planning to create personal development plan. This report is going to prepare on self-evaluation
of an individual and discuss the value of personal development plan in order to get more success
and accomplish the objectives and goals which are decided by them.

1. Self-evaluation
It is crucial to review individual’s performance as it is the part of self-evaluation because it
reflects self-awareness. When an individual is self-aware about himself he is conscious about his
strengths and weaknesses (Jachova, Z., Kovačević, J. and Hasanbegović, H., 2018). Self-
evaluation can be defined as a procedure or a process to observe, analyze and value of your own
professional action in order to enhance stability. The main objective of self-evaluation is to offer
honest understandings of how you observe performance and reflect on how others notice your
performance. It is significant to pursue regular performance feedback to better understand what
other people think about.
SWOT analysis is a most common tool that has been used in the professional world to
evaluate performance of past, present and future of an individual in pursuit of their career goals.
A personal SWOT analysis provides vision best on the personality strength and weaknesses and
what challenges a person may find and what opportunities are present around him in present or in
near future. SWOT analysis can help people to develop their personality and become the best

employees. He always get frustrated to their employees and even when I asked to approve my
leave he never understand the concern of my health issues, also he puts a lot of work on my
shoulders even my colleagues are not happy with him and later I had no other option to leave the
organization because my doctor advises me to not take over load of work as I am getting into
depression. But it is life where you learn new things and experiences whether it is bad or good.
Overall I learned many new things, make bonds over there with my office colleagues, I learned
how to deal with challenging situation where you have to stay strong and make it into an
opportunity to grow career and personality.

It has been summarized from the above experience that personal development plan
provides a clear vision as what and where an individual want to see in the coming future. By
creating personal development plan it helps in self-evaluation where an individual analysis his
strengths, weaknesses, opportunities as well as threat to his professional life or personal life. By
drawing a Personal Development Plan, it helps an individual to achieve his desired goals and
