PART 1
Identify 3 career goals and select preferred options
In recent times, there are many career options and choices available for an individual to chose
from. These career options depends on skills and knowledge possessed by individual and what
are his or her aspirations. Similarly, i also have a 3 career choices to be choose from. They are
defined as below : (Bukharina, 2018)
Teacher – it is my first career option in which i want to become a teacher. This is because i am
having interest in teaching students. Also, my hobby is to give tuition to other people. thus, i can
develop interest in this field and become a good professor or teacher in any field.
Doctor – this is my second career goal to become a doctor. I want to save lives of people and
provide them health care services. Moreover, there lie many fields in which i can become a
doctor like dentist, psychiatrist, cardiologist etc. Moreover, i want to serve people by helping
them.
General Manager – it is my last career aspiration. In this i want to become a GM of large
organisation. Here, i want to handle and manage team of 50-100 people. i like to manage people
and my interest is in doing it.
From above i selected goal of becoming a GM. This is because i think that skills and
knowledge possessed by me is relevant for this career. Also, i will be easily able to become GM
and apply these skills in it. So, with that i can attain company goals and objectives. Besides that,
i will get vast opportunity for growth in this career and a handsome salary as well. I do not want
to become doctor or teacher because it requires high skills and knowledge in it. (Dacillo, 2018)
PART 2
Identify and explain your strength, weakness, opportunity and threats
In order to analyse my current skills and qualities i did a SWOT analysis. It can be very
effective as it analysis the areas of personal development. It is equally useful regarding
evaluating as a part regarding career discussions. Personal swot analysis focus on own goals as

attributes that aids towards goals or even weakness within other context.
Strength – As a manager my communication skill is very good as i need to communicate with
other employees in a firm as well as other team members to discuss various issues and motivate
them and for all that my communication skills needs to be strong. So i am good in
communication skill. It is also noticed that as a manager my leadership skills is also good and i
know different types of leadership skills. In addition to this my decisions skills are also good as i
know how to take effective decisions also i know the process of decision making and how it is
applied in taking decisions. (Utting, 2017)
Weakness- I do not know how to solve a problem and analysis it to get effective solution. My
time management skills are also not good as i am not able to finish my tasks on time. My one of
the weakness is that i am not emotionally stable as if something occurs at firm i reacted usually
very offended. It is consider as one of the major weakness as it sometimes creates a huge loss in
my own career as well as for firms also.
Opportunities- I want to learn about new software and applications which will help me in my
personal and professional group. I also needs to improves my interpersonal skills such as
planning, organising ,discipline and many more.
Threats- I have faced very high completion from other people. Due to Covid 19 people feels
scary to move outside and so their job which would becomes one of the major threat for me also
as now firms can uses robots so it will also becomes one of the major threats for me.

Explain any gaps in skills and knowledge you want to address to achieve goals
I came to realised that i am very weak in the problem solving skills and it creates a lot of
problem with my professional life as i am unable to solve the problem that can be occurs with me
and with my employees and leads to loss (Nguyen, 2017). In addition to this i am unable to
finish my tasks on time and this weakness leads to dissatisfaction among myself as well as leads
to low performance. This creates a bad impression on my peers as they earlier thought that i am
very efficient but because of this they thought that i am inefficient at my work, it also stops my
promotion. One of the major weaknesses is that i am also not emotionally stable as this weakness
also creates very loss in my professional life as an unstable person i can react on unusual things
as well as takes decisions very emotionally instead of practically.

By developing PDP ( personal development plan) i can form short term and long term goals and
along with that i will be able to find out strategies to improves those skills and reduce the gaps.
Also by the help of the Swot analysis of myself i came to realise that what are my weakness so
that i can improves that such as my emotionally unstable nature and lack of time management
skills, after that i can completed my tasks on time as well as also completed my meetings on
time which will provides a new height within my career. In addition to this my problem solving
skills is also improved as it aids my personal as well as professional skills. (Shaheen. and
Hameed, 2020)
