skills
1.1 Identification and reflection on my approach to personal learning and development
Personal development and learning refers to the activities and task performance which is
design to improve talent, enhance potential, generate employability and creation of wealth in
individual. If a person is engaging in the activities that results in self-development, then it is
considered as the personal development. This process of personal development continuous
throughout the life of a person. It is not only result in generating potential and different skills but
also helps in achievement of goals and objectives(Dieppe, 2018) . Enhancement in the
personality and development in the learning skills provides a better life for me as it increases my
confidence as well as employ ability. It order to lead a healthy life , there is a requirement to
fulfil the needs of a person which includes safety needs, esteem needs and self-actualization. By
attending the session of learning and development I have observed that it helps me in better
decision making in my practical life. With that there is generation of various skills in me such as
communication skills, problem solving skills, leadership skills, adaptability skills and
interpersonal skills and many more. The process of personal development also makes me clear in
context of my personal vision which helps in achievement of desired target within the targeted
time. And the most important contribution of the personal development and learning is that it
motivates me and enhance my performance in my respective field. Personal development and the
learning process add values in a life of an individual which helps in providing assistance in
enhancement in potential and helps in dealing and overcoming from the problems.
1.2 Identification of the transferable skills I have already developed by attending this
module.
Transferable skills is describes as the skills that is generated from one job to another. These
includes the abilities and the talents which are suitable for wide range of jobs and industries, The
skills which are transferable is technical skills, communication skills, multitasking skills,
creativity skills, leadership skills, critical thinking skills and many more. By attending the
module of personal development and learning I have developed many skills that enhances my
capability to deal with the different situations by applying different approaches in it (Kaddour,
2019) . Transferable skills further divided into 3 skills that are soft skills, technical and hard

skills and transferable skills. From the process of learning and skill development I interpreted
skills that helps in performing different tasks such as in order to put my view point in different
things, I had to be more communicative in order to make the other person understand my thought
process. These skills are also known as the portable skills as these skills are used my me in
various skills. These skills provides help in sharing the knowledge and the essential data more
effectively(Stephen and McNally, 2022) . By which I am capable to attain my personal goals as
well as the organisational goals. In order to enhance my capability in performing tasks I have
develop the technical and hard skills from the learning sessions, which I have gain trough
education and training as these skills develops by performing job roles in specific industries and
by software and machine usage. With these skills I can able coordinate with my team members
which results in better management and goal achievement. Different types of approaches have
been learned by me which enhance my performance and make me more confident in order to
perform the tasks in ethical manner.
1.3 Skills I would like to develop during my academic studies, personal life and the
workplace
There is major importance of the skill development during academic studies as it enhances
the productivity of the individual. By the help of this I identified that the talent is required in
performing the tasks and achieving the goals. Obtaining success depends on the particular skills
sets which changes in accordance to the needs of the objectives. These skills set develops with
the learning process in the schools and universities. It helps an individual to entering into
particular fields and identifies the potential in an individual , so that an individual can identified
the field in accordance to the interest and potential (Lejeune, Beausaert and Raemdonck,
2021) . There is multiple abilities and the skills that I need to develop in me in order to succeed
in many aspects. As academic skills provides major help in improvement in the learning process.
These skills set can be acquired by taking different tasks, interaction sessions with the other
students, completion of the projects and many more. These skills includes the written and the
verbal communication, reasoning skills, giving attention to the details of the activities, data
analysis, listening others, note taking and various others skills. These skills are very much
essential in my life as it not only helps in earning academic credentials but also makes a person
multitasking which is needed to enter in the workforce in future. The process of skill
development works in different ways for different tasks as problem solving helps me in dealing

effectively with the problems with focusing on other activities as well. Leadership skills helps
me in motivating the other employees in my team and in managing the behaviour of them. The
time management skills makes me capable to perform multiple tasks at the same time. In
addition to all that these skills makes my vision clear towards my goals. By this problems ad the
conflicts also get managed in the organisation effectively.
