INTRODUCTION
Personal and professional development plays a vital role in life of an individual. It is
necessary for a person to understand the development of academic and professional skills so that
they are able to successfully achieve their career objectives (Mamvuto and Kangai, 2021). In this
report there is discussion related to portfolio that includes all the skills that will help to start a
career in business and management. Reflection that shows the experience of learning and
development related to transfer able skills while academic studies, personal life as well as work
place is also discussed in this report.

`It is seen that there is need of several skills in order study effectively. Academic skills
refer to all those skills that are important at the time of studying. It is seen that a person that has
good and effective skills is able to study in an effective manner and achieve their goals and
objectives successfully. Skills are the expertise in a particular field that help in individual to
work with talent and complete the activity with good grades (Matvienko, 2021). A person
having good academic skills is able to form strategies to study and complete the work on time.
The students are generally more attentive in the class and get good marks at the time of
examination. They are given more importance in the class as well as they are able to analyse
information in an effective way. The students with sharp academic skills are able to help others
and that help them to build relationships. So there is vital importance of academic skills in the
life of a student.
At the same time it is necessary to discuss about professional skills. To get a job there is
need of ability is that help to manage the work life as well as personal life. Professional skills are
the skills that help to get a good job as well as complete the desired work in an effective manner.
Where is use importance of academic skills in the life of a person who wants to do a job. It is
seen that it helps them to manage the team work in an effective manner that is necessary while
working in corporate world (Little-Wienert and Mazziotti, 2018). At the same time effective
communication skills have them to build relations as well as interacting and effective enough for
that all the task assigned to them are completed in an successful manner. Along with that a

It is a cycle that includes 6 stages. It includes the experience of a person the challenges faced
by them and the skills and knowledge enhanced. It is important to note that all the skills have
their own importance. The stages in relation my personal learning and development is discussed
underneath:
Description: This is the first stage of this model. While studying in university I have
analysed that there is need of certain academic as well as professional skills that help to achieve
career growth. It is important to note that while studying we also need some skills and the skills
developed at the time help us in future (Heeneman and Driessen, 2017). It is necessary for an
individual to be concentrated and attentive while working and studying. It is seen that while
doing management course an individual is able to know about various challenges as well as
issues that may come in path. Along with that it also helps an individual to develop the skills that
will help them to grow.
Feelings: I was eager to learn at the initial level of my course. I want a good job in
Multinational Corporation so it was my eagerness and willingness to study that made me do
management course. There was a mix feeling as I was somewhere hesitated to learn something
new. I was concerned that how will I manage to learn and will I be able to learn or not. There
were so many questions going on behind my mind. But I still became confident and made full
efforts to learn and develop skills (Galán-Mañas, 2019). I have analysed that being confident and
having ability to learn makes a person successful.
Evaluation: It is being evaluated that due to my eagerness and confidence to learn I was
able to grab various skills. I also understood that there is need of team working skills,
communication skills, management skills, decision making skills that help to work effectively.
To get a good job there is need of all these skills. At the time of working in an organisation a
person needs to balance personal as well as professional life. Along with that there is need to
analyse the situation in manage the employees the team so that the organisation is able to achieve
goals and objectives. Analysed that I am not good at managerial skills and because of which I
was unable to work in group projects effectively. It is one of my weaknesses that I need to work
upon in order to get a good job. Management skills include the ability to manage the work within
changes that are required.

person. Communication skills help an individual at the time they are learning and studying. It is
seen that I was able to interact effectively with my teachers as well as colleagues that help to
meet to make progress. I was good at understanding the things as well as explaining others. It
helps me to build good relations with my colleagues (Wetcho and Na-Songkhla, 2019). It is also
analysed that while doing a project for completing a team work there are various skills such as
time management skills decision making skills management skills that we learn. I used to be
attentive as well as useful efforts in order to complete the task assigned to me.
There are certain conflicts that arise while working in team. I have analysed that there is
need of full cooperation in order to complete a work in claim for stop conflicts are normal and
will also arise in workplace. At the time it is important to keep calm and understand the situation
so that a solution can be find out. I have analysed that conflict solving skills also play a major
role while working in a big organisation at a reputed post. It is also analysed that a person that is
able to be attentive and knows what is going on in surroundings will become successful. It is also
analysed that situation like covid-19 pandemic may change the scenario. So we must work on
ourselves in such a manner that we are capable enough to overcome the challenges that come in
path. If we will have our own strengths that help us to gain advantage over the others will help us
to cope up with the situation.

must know about the points of strengths so that they are able to improvise them. Along with that
