1.0 Self-reflection on personal learning and development,
and the transferable skills
1.1 Identification and reflection on my approach to personal
learning and development
Learning is a process that carries on with the life of a person and it ends with
it (González-Pérez and Ramírez-Montoya, 2022). This process is being followed by
me and I have kept upgrading my intellectual skills to gain perfection and proficiency
in different fields. Self up-gradation attained by me has helped me in various aspects
of my life. I have worked in different fields and have gained experience and
perfection in it. The knowledge has helped me in every part of my working tenure.
Initial start of my learning began in year 1985 and after that I haven't stopped
learning and upgrading myself. I have attended school and colleges to gain
knowledge and training in various fields. I have expertise and developed myself in
the finance field in early 2000's by attending University of Finance and Banking. This
has helped me to understand the trick of managing finance and many other skills in
regards with money or funds. I have increased my abilities and knowledge by doing
both theoretical and practical studies in my life. Managed both my studies and work
to gain more experience of market and other fields.
Developed my skill set in tailoring field by operating as a tailoring worker for
almost a year. Learning is enhanced if it is applied in the practical life (Rao, 2019).
After the completion of my graduation I worked as control manager in Dr. Oetkar
where my observing power increased by keeping a keen eye on the quality and the
process of the production. Developed management and leadership skills while
working at premiere inn as a team leader at the London branch. This job has
increased the managing knowledge and I have learned how to organize different
situations and resources. These skill sets and knowledge had helped me acquire the
position of head manager in premiere inn. Leraning is still a process that is taking
place in my life and I m pursuing the management field by both studying and working
as well.

by attending this module
Extended educational and professional tenure of mine reflects various skills
and abilities that I have upgraded or gained which has improved my personality by
increasing internal strengths and eliminating various weaknesses. Up gradation of an
individual is defined as the changes that have uplifted their level of personality in
their lifetime and this evolution of personality is a continuous process (Nedelkoska
and Quintini, 2018). Categorized skills that has helped in my personality
development are personal skills, managerial skills and technical skills. Development
of personal skills includes the enhanced communication ability that I gained in my
working tenure as a head housekeeper where I managed my team through smooth
flow of communication. Communicating in a professional aspect evolved my overall
personality and resulted as improved outcomes of my job role. I have managed to
communicate the orders of superior to my subordinate so that the work can be done
according to the requirement of management. Proficiency gain in the communication
has helped to work and collaborate with my team effectively.

management of subordinates. Accurate evaluation of skills pursued by me while
assessing the subordinates assignments in accordance with qualitative and
quantitative ratio helped the organization to develop a normative nature in the
workforce.
Knowledge of enhanced technology and its process was a part of my job in
different fields that I have worked in. Technological process are getting a boost as it
is opted by every industry to increase the productivity. I have a good hand on
computer and software that supports the business data and activity. Maintaining
assignments in MS-Office and knowing various ways and keys to work smartly with
the efficiency has proved as a plus point in the intellectual aspect of my curriculum
vitae. In my working tenure I have operated on different equipments in various fields
including Laundry tracking, Bedroom Genie etc. Operating on different machines
have increased my experience and interest in technological field. Along with the
knowledge of these technological equipments, I have gained the awareness about
these machines and the cautious behavior that an operator should have was
developed as well.

In accordance with my academics I will be aiming for betterment in my
personality by focusing on the areas of weak point to eliminate them. Area in which I
would be diverting my focus to improve my personality is the strategic management
and time management. Strategic management that is aimed to focus on, will be
enhancing the decision-making ability of mine with a strategical process so that I can
serve the organization with better mindset. Time managing is the other aspect that
will be improved so that different personal and professional tasks can be achieved
with the time period that is being fixed.
