1.0 Self-reflection on personal learning and development,
and the transferable skills
1.1 Identification and reflection on my approach to personal
learning and development
Personal development and the learning may be defined as the process of
improving an individual throughout their life. This not only assist them in inheriting
different types of skills but also helps them in attaining all the goals and successful
position in life. With the help of this I can live a better life because this enhance my
confidence and increment of employ ability. Different types of needs like safety
needs, self-actualization and esteem needs can be fulfilled with personal
development which is necessary for living the life in better manner (Syzdykova and
et. al., 2021). By attending the learning and development sessions better decision
has been taken by me in my practical life. In addition to this the fulfillment of the
various needs enhance different types of skills like such as communication skills,
interpersonal skills, problem solving skills, adaptability skills and leadership skills and
many more within an individual which improves their performance. This also clarifies
my personal vision which assist me in attaining my set target within the set time limit.
Along with this, this also assist the individual in motivating them which enhance their
performance as well as confidence in the respective field. Personal learning and
development add some new values in an individual life which not only give
assistance in identifying the potential that are needed to attain the set objectives but
also help in overcoming form the problems which influence the performance.
1.2 Identification of the transferable skills I have already developed
by attending this module
Transferable skills may be defined as those skills which are utilized by the
individuals in order to perform the functions in the different field which assist them in
their growth and development. The transferable skills which have been developed by
me by attending this module assist me in achieving all the goals and objectives in
proper way. Problem solving, leadership, team work, critical thinking and
communication are some of the skills which are developed by me during this module.
These skills are used by me various projects because these are easily transferable
as well as adaptable. The transferable skills are also known as the portable skills

because these skills can be used by me in the various fields. This assist me in
sharing the knowledge and important data effectively so that goals can be attain. If
all the group members give their contribution in the same direction, then it’s become
easy to perform the activities. With the help of communication skill, I can effectively
coordinate with my team members that results in improved performance. This boosts
up my confidence as well as moral which improves my personality. In addition to this,
transferable skills also assist me building effective relationship with the group
members(Michos and et. al., 2022). This effective relationship assists in attaining the
common goals. Different types of new things have been learned by me which
enhanced my performance as well as ability to carry out the work in ethical manner.
With the help of these skills all the projects as well as assignments which is given to
me is completed by me before the deadlines.
1.3 Skills I would like to develop during my academic studies,
personal life and the workplace
A significant role is played by the skills in enhancing the productivity of the
individuals. With the help of this I can effectively identify the talent which is required
so that I can carry out the operations in my field. During my academic studies
different types of skills has been developed by me such as interpersonal skills and
communication skills. During my assessments and seminars this skill has been
developed by me by giving presentation, lectures and speech. With the help of
these skills, I am able to understand as well as perform the task perfectly. Through
effective communication and interpersonal skill, I am able to develop a strong
professional network which help me in making my career better. Along with this, I
also develop the time management as well as problem solving skill. During my
studies, I have to manage different types of activities within the set time and this can
only be done with the support of time management skill. This not only enhance my
productivity while performing the operations but also help me in reducing the stress
which make my mind stable(Barysevich and Viartseika, 2021). The problem-solving
as well as the time management are related with each other’s by which effective
personal as well as professional life balance can be maintain. If the assigned work is
completed before the set time limit than the remaining time can be utilized in learning
new things. The problem-solving solving skill help me in effectively deal with the
problem and develop the solution which assist me to paid focus on the activities

which are needed to attain the goals. Within the workplace, leadership skills have
been developed by me within me help me out in motivating the employee’s behavior
in perfect way. In addition to this, this clarifies my vision that what goals have to be
attain and in what way these goals can be attain in order to achieve successful
position in life. Through this skill, conflicts as well as problems within the workplace
also manage by me effectively.
