1.0 Self-reflection on personal learning and development,
and the transferable skills
1.1 Identification and reflection on my approach to personal
learning and development
Personal learning and development is a lifelong process that is used to
develop the understanding of individual regarding particular topic. This is the way of
assessing skills and abilities of person that supports to accomplish personal and
professional goals. In other words, personal development is the involvement of all
activities that used to develop person's capabilities and potential, build human
capital, improving employ ability and quality of life (Amundsen and D’Amico,
2019). I have used learning and development approach in order to improve my
communication, leadership, and management skills that can help to take different
task and manage the work properly. This app roach is helpful for me as I used to
bring changes in my existing knowledge and skills that supports to take new task and
complete it properly. This is important for an individual to have proper
understandings and knowledge about learning and development as it helps to handle
the particular project and attain personal as well as professional objectives (McNeil
and Moore, 2020).
1.2 Identification of the transferable skills I have already developed
by attending this module
I have attended the business and management module that have developed
my career and improved skills as well. According to me, learning and development is
important for an individual as it is used to provide new skills and abilities to work
continuously. I have developed my time management skills which is important to
take any project and task then complete it within period. Motivation skills and
communication skills also being developed by me through attending module that
states to improve communication there is need to listen carefully and share own
ideas without any hesitation that can help to manage the working (Chen and Patel,
2018). The leadership skills will help to lead the people or members calmly that will
help to gets work done and managing performance. This is important for individual to

have different skills and abilities to work by managing their work and bring changes
in their existing performance. This module also have increased skills of problem
solving which is improved my observing my seniors and managers that how they
understand particular issue and solve it properly (Mack, Spivey and Filipe, 2019).
The problem solving skill is important for an individual which used to
understand the issue which might be arises while working and solve it properly. From
the module analytical skill is being improved by me as that relates to research and
important to gather information for a particular topic and manage the activities. The
analysis skills is transferable skills which gained during study and managing work
properly (Dikilitaş and Yaylı, 2018).
1.3 Skills I would like to develop during my academic studies,
personal life and the workplace
During my academic studies I wants to develop my collaborative skills,
interpersonal, team work, and creativity skills that will help me to provide good
opportunity to work and complete the work. Team work and interpersonal skill is
important for an organization wherein number of people ready to work collectively
and manage the working properly (Gallo, 2020). For a person to have team work
skills is needed to work collectively and maintain higher performance. I would also
like to improve my creativity skills that could change my life and workplace by
introducing something new and different that will help to take good opportunity and
manage he working effectively (Lacorte, 2018).
