1.0 Self-reflection on personal learning and development,
and the transferable skills
1.1 Identification and reflection on my approach to personal
learning and development
Personal development is one of the important processes for the individual.
This process involves improvement in skills and knowledge which is necessary
throughout the life. It brings new opportunities and continuously look for the inner
capabilities which is required in personal and professional life. So that, an effective
approach is required for enhancing own skills and capabilities to know better about
myself (Мorozova, and Kuzheleva, 2020). Therefore my approach includes first
understanding my attitude and emotional intelligence which will help me to cope up

with many uncertainty in personal and professional life. Therefore it is required to
understand all the strength and weakness about myself. My next approach of
personal development is positive psychology. This approach defines that being
positive will create good emotional Intelligence and social well being. This will
enhance the attitude and self awareness so that I could be able to perform at my
workplace positively and be an inspiration for others. Positive psychology developed
creative thinking and problem solving attitude which is required in order to cope up
with many life challenges. Apart from this, active listening is also another approach
of my personal development. This will lead to make me more multitasking and
empowered by listening to others. This will boost my knowledge as well as reduce
chances of mistake. It will keep my learning attitude on point and I will focus on
improving myself in present and future (Pochtaryova,. and Vasyagina, 2020). The
approach of awareness and presence personal development. Awareness will create
observations in daily life routine. It will make an understanding of the requirement of
improvements in on behavior and attitude. This awareness will lead to engage more
into team working skills and resist with challenges accurately.
1.2 Identification of the transferable skills I have already developed
by attending this module
Transferrable skills are those expertise and abilities which could be used in
different roles and activities . these skills need to be present in every individual to
work in several situations. Transferable skills are necessary to take the degree from
University, promote opportunities for workplace and being inspirational personality
for others. Through this module I have learnt many transferable skills which helped
me to achieve my module aims and personal development objective. Communication
skills are the very first skill which I have developed in both written and verbal ways
(Knight, and Newby, 2019). Through researching and presenting my ideas and
thoughts into reports and presentation I have develop communication stills so far. It
helped me to to present my thoughts and ideas in clearway and make others
understand about my intentions and focus. I have learnt how to write reports and be
professional while presenting ideas to teachers and my teammates. Therefore,
teamwork and leadership skills are also most important which I have developed.
These skills are most prominent and required to achieve my career objectives

my teammates for working in a right manner. While working with project and
assessments I know my team strength and weakness which help me to divide work
and activities.
1.3 Skills I would like to develop during my academic studies,
personal life and the workplace
There are so many skills which an individual required to develop during
education , personal life and work experiences. This will help me to face any
possible challenges and conquer my aims and objectives towards future. There are
some of the key skills which is already present in myself that I am using for more
improvements to undertake opportunities. I would like to develop some research and
reports skills through which I will be more accurate in report writing and presenting
my thoughts in professional manner. This report writing skills will help me to research
and write article which is one of my key hobby also. In addition to this, I would
require to develop time management skills (Allen, Palermo, Armstrong, and Hay,
2019). This is my weakness that I take the things in Procrastination wale which leads
to deliver my projects beyond the deadlines. Therefore I feel to be on time and
punctuality which would impact my future development. Therefore, I would like to
prepare time tables and give priority to the important tasks. In my workplace, I would
require good leadership skills to manage the whole Organization in work
collaboratively. Good leadership skills will include communication motivation ,
problem solving as well as Creative Thinking. All these are essential for me make my
future bright and successful (Salter, and Rhodes, 2018). Creative thinking and time
management are required for my personal life as I do not left with any spare time to
focus on my hobbies and aims. After improving these skills it would help me to
manage my professional and personal life together.
