1.0 Self-reflection on personal learning and development, and the
transferable skills
Personal learning is the educational approach which aims in customizing learning for
strength, skills and interests. This is required for developing the skills of planning, monitoring
and modifying learning practices. The needs boosts individual learner morale and encourage by
identifying and meeting them (Amato, C., 2017) . The personal development is procedure of
enhancing learning skill in order to great growth in both academic & career life which leads to
self-enhancement. This involves several skills which helps in enhancing of employability,
confidence and leading to high quality life. With the help of academic learning I was able to
acquire given knowledge and skills which I can develop them in several areas and leading in my
growth.
1.1 Identification and reflection on my approach to personal learning and
development
The personal development is the ongoing procedure which is the means for people to
evaluate their skills & attribute by considering purpose in life and goals are set in command to
realise and increase potential. In the personal development it involves the activities that helps in
improving identity, developing of talent and potential along with contributing in realisation of
dreams and aspirations. For having the betterment in career in such process of personal
development people focus on several learning aspects that also helps in achieving goals set by
me. With the help of skill development in me I will capable to develop my career in filed of
marketing. To be an executive marketing manager it is required by me to develop some
necessary skills for which I will take self-assessment that will help me knowing by development
areas and skills which I already gain during my academic studies. The academic skills help me
lot in attaining the career success in effective and efficient manner (Freischlag, and Faria, 2018).
1.2 Identification of the transferable skills I have already developed by
attending this module
While learning this module, following are set of skill which I already developed which
leads to my personal growth in both academic and career life that are mentioned below-

 Listening skills- This skill defines the ability of interpreting and receiving messages
accurately in the communication process which is key to all effective communication. I
developed this skill in my academic by listening to the teachers and others during lectures
which help in creating better relation, increase sharing of information which leads to
more creative & innovative work. This skill helped me lot in my career as marketing
manager role listening is crucial to listen the customer needs and problems. The better of
this skill leads to increase customer sanctification and improves understanding. This skill
help me in promoting mindful thinking and improve communication with peers &
teachers in both academic and career.
 Communication skills- It defines the abilities of giving and receiving different kinds of
information in form of verbal & non-verbal, oral & written communication. During my
academic studies I developed this skill by communicating with teachers, students during
lecture times, reading books orally in class and presenting ideas in effective way. By
already possessing this skill helped in my career field of marketing. This skill is
important for providing better customer service and effective relation is developed with
customers. The effective communication helps in influencing customers and leads to less
conflicts in workplace. The use of this skill helps in my career growth (Matheny, and
et.al., 2020).
1.3 Skills I would like to develop during my academic studies, personal life
and the workplace
There are some skill which I want to develop that can be helpful for me in workplace and
personal life during my academic studies which are mentioned below-
 Informational technology skills- This skill is needed to perform several information
tasks related to technology which involves talent, knowledge and abilities to use several
forms of technology. I want to develop this skill in academics so that I can use this
effectively in workplace. The skill is important for making business operations easy, for
which it requires working on several software and computer system. By developing this
skill I can make effective computerised presentations, email marketing and email
communication in career field of marketing.

 Analytical and Research skills- I want to develop this skill in order to analyse the
problem and appraising different solutions. The development of this skill during
academic studies will help in researching, problem solving, communication and many
more. I will develop this skill by practising on problem solving case studies, learning how
things work and through observing. By developing this skill it will help me in career
growth and used in marketing field. As the role of marketing manager I will use skills in
order to identify needs & demand of customers by researching. Within workplace I can
solve many problems by having critical thinking and effective decision can be taken
based on research (Liu, and et.al., 2022).
