My personal leadership philosophy has been developed depending on the
requirements of the domain of leadership I serve. Military is one of the occupations in
which the team spirit as well as the discipline are two of the most vital factors for the
success of a mission. Again, this domain encounters several challenges, which involve
life-risks. Hence, transformation in strategies and incorporation of several changes in
the work procedure are essential for the military leaders. In other words, military leaders
need to be disciplined yet dynamic. Hence, before formulating my leadership
philosophy, I emphasized on the fact that the leadership philosophy should focus on the
progressive, sophisticated leadership style, that in turn support incorporation of
structural changes as well as costly trainings which can empower military commanders
the most (Antonakis & Robert, 2013).
My personal leadership philosophy is to encourage as well as inspire the team of
soldiers to learn to welcome necessary changes, and help the team to become prudent
and innovative, at the time of formulating war strategies. Hence, it can be said that my
leadership philosophy has been developed depending on the transformational
leadership traits and styles (Army, 2013).
In my personal leadership philosophy, I emphasized on personal values like
honesty. A military person needs to be hones to himself and to the team as well as the
whole nation he is aimed to serve. This is the reason why I adopted the principles of
honesty and dedication to formulate my personal leadership philosophy (Sharma & Jain,
2013). Hence, my personal leadership philosophy strictly protests against the adoption
of unfair means and corruption. In the principles of my personal leadership philosophy, I
emphasized on trainings to educate my subordinates about the negative consequences
