INTRODUCTION
Personal learning and development plan are two different terms that use for growth and
success of a person. Personal learning can define as educational method that goal is to customize
learning for each learner, needs, interests and skills. While development plan refers to an
important document that details entire tactic and approach of individual for learning and
developing skills. It consists valuable approaches, strategies and relevant actions taken to
develop ranges of skills or competences. The current assignment will be based on two different
parts, part A will explain reflective profile and part B will define personal learning act &
development plan.
PART A
Reflective report
Learning can be defined as procedure of obtaining new knowledge, comprehending,
skills, competences, values, behaviors etc (Zhang and et.al., 2019). Some learning or knowledge
gaining process is immediate and induced by single act. It considers as change of nature as
outcome of personal experience. On the other note, professional development could describe as
process of learning that help to maintain or earn professional abilities such as academic level to
formal course work, informal leaning chances and attending meetings (Imron and et.al., 2020).
From above two different concepts, I have learned that professional development and learning
are key elements that drive the attention of a person towards developing particular skill. I can use
these two approaches in order to improve my skills and develop the new one which are quite
beneficial in context of my professional success and growth in the future. I have set of skills
which enable me to gain the best and most appropriate employment opportunity accessible in the
labor market. I have important and useful skills such as effective academic writing which make
me able to present my work and gather data in word document in presentable manner.
With academic writing skill I can communicate with other people by conducting written
practices. It serves as method of effective communication that conveys obtained learning in
particular field of knowledge. Along with this I also have research skills that enable me to find
out useful and important data which I can use for concluding final outcome of specific research
base on particular subject or topic. It is my another strength that bring several benefits in term of
determining issues, gathering information resources that could support address an issue, examine

these assets for quality and appropriate and come up with useful solution to a problem. Along
with these two, I also have referencing skills. With above key strengths or skills, I also have
some weakness that put negative impact on my personal growth and success of professional
career as well. In form of weakness I have poor presentation skills which cannot allow me to
develop effective and creative presentation of my work. Lack of planning is my another
weakness which could affect in negative manner and decrease ability to get desire outcomes.
Digital skills and lack of IT skills are more two weaknesses which also impact in similar manner.
It can overcome negative impact of weakness and develop above skills by taking right
action and using effective ways such as development plan. Personal and professional
development plan would help in process of developing my four different types of skills that has
been discussed above. I will take this action to become an effective learner that enables me to
achieve my set goals and things what I want to gain.

Academic writing skills-
It is one of the important strengths that enable to present gather information and sharing it
with other individuals. It is concise, structured, clear, concentrated and backed up by proofing.
The main motive of this skill is to help information receiver and content reader understanding
data.
Referencing skill-
With this skill I can acknowledge contribution of other authors, researchers or writers in
my work. This strength allows to site my work with relevant sources that define its authenticity
and accessibility in practical world. It helps to avoid plagiarism.
Research skills-
This strength refers to competence to find for, extract, locate, manage, examine and
utilize info that is appropriate to specific concept or topic (Irwin, Bliss and Poole, 2018). It
enables to conduct different forms of research such as academic, professional etc. which is quite
essential to do.
Weaknesses-
IT skills-
In this term several elements included like data analytics, networking, software
development etc. I don’t have this strength, which can consider as my weakness that I need to
develop by considering effective methods and taking right decision.
Presentation skills-
Through above analysis, I have determined my second weakness that is lack of
presentation skill. I want to develop this one as well along with above. It is skill that I need and
use while delivering appropriate presentation to different of people.
Digital skills-
Lack of digital skills is my third weakness which make me unable to gain benefits while
playing role as employee or employer in a well-known company. This skill allows to get most
value for broadcasting range of products or services.
Planning skills-
It is fundamental cognitive ability that forms part of my executive function. I need to
develop this skill, which is really very important for my career growth.
Step 2- Setting aims-

Goal setting includes development of action document that design to encourage and
direct a person towards specific aim (Locke and Latham, 2019). It could be directed by goal
setting rules such as SMART standards. This term is key element of personal and professional
development. It can define as powerful and useful procedure for thinking about ideal career in
further and for encouraging a person to turn his or her vision of future into realism.
I have mentioned new and clear aims which I need to develop in future by developing
personal development plan.
I want to develop digital marketing skills, IT, planning and presentation skills
I want to get better employment opportunities
I want to be become successful employer or employee in a company.
I want to earn profit by using valuable and useful skills.
By setting above goals I would gain benefits of my professional career which bring many
benefits in different terms. It is beneficial and helpful process that contributes in personal
development. Through this process I will develop skills which I need to create in effective
manner. Furthermore, setting goal gives me long term vision and short term encouragement. It
allows me to concentrate on obtaining a knowledge relate to particular thing.
Step 3- Personal objectives-
A personal objective refers to employment specific aim of each individual worker, they
are essential because it communicate to applicants what is significance and what is expected of
them. I mention my personal objectives below which I could achieve after completing my
university studies.
I want to learn new things that help achieving goals of specific job role
I want to find a graduate job
I want to be effective workers
All above three objectives I want to achieve and goes ahead with them for longer period of
time.
Personal development plan-
It is effective procedure of developing an action plan base on values, goal setting,
awareness, reflection and planning for personal development. Through PDP a person can
achieve what he or she wants to gain in the future. It assists know where person headed and how
to obtain there aims within effective and systematic manner. This plan could help to gain

personal and professional objectives and permit to get desire outcomes. It include range of
approaches and methods as well as define time frame under which individual need to develop
their skills, knowledge and competencies.
CONCLUSION
By summing up above discussion, it has been concluded that by determining key
strengths and weaknesses a person through personal learning and development plan has
overcome all the weak points and also develop skills which he or she needs to boost from longer
period of time. Skills development is one of the most effective approaches that help determining
competences and also strengthen to improve those abilities that an individual has used to gain
further employment benefits accessible in the world of employment or job market. Furthermore,
from above analysis it has been summarized that by setting personal objectives learner has
achieved greater success.
