Introduction
The process of personal development is considered as a continuous process of life for a
long-term that helps in shaping, nurturing as well as improving the skills and the abilities of an
individual. This is done for the purpose of ensuring the maximum level of effectiveness along
with ongoing employability. Professional development is referred to the set of resources, training
sessions as well as tools for the educators for improving the quality of their teaching and
effectiveness. This process facilitates the educators in enhancing the base of their knowledge in
the several fields.

Description of professional field
The term professional fields is related to the occupation
which needs both the registration or licensure for being eligible
for the employment as well as accomplishment of the academic
degree. There are various kinds of professional fields that helps an
individual in choosing its career path and some of these
professional fields are marketing, information technology, finance,
human resource, international business and many more. Within
the existing presentation, I have chosen human resource as my
career path because in this respective field I know some of the
skills for managing the persons towards the goal.

Discussion and analysation of career
path
In order to adopt human resource as a career path, a person is needed to achieve various
qualities as well as competencies. This helps an individual in acquiring this kind of field of
profession as a career path. There are different types of skills that are required by a person in
order to get the success and the growth within the respective field. Some of these skills include
strong analytical skills, coordination skills, time management skills, communication skills,
decision-making skills, training and development skills, building relationship skills, etc.

Career planning refers to the process of
understanding talents, skills, interests and values
translate into possible career or employment. It is
very significant for an individual for evolving
objectives of career as it helps a person in
employing various opportunities which are in
relation with occupation.

In this context, I do not have much skills and abilities to meet my career related goals. My
long-term goal help me in learning which assists me in offering several career opportunities. My
short-term goal facilitates me in improving my communication skills that assist me in professional
field of human resource. By effective communication skills, I can share business information to
other managers and manpower within organisation.

Identification of strengths and
linkage with possible career path
Each individual has its own strengths that help it in gaining various career
opportunities and also assists in overcoming its weakness. Strengths of a person are linked
with its professional development and these are decision-making and communication skills.

Identification of challenges
Challenges that occur in career path of a person creates a barrier in meeting career goals.
Some challenges are financial issues and building interpersonal skills. Financial problems do not
allow a person to meet its career goals and create a barrier in its education and learning as it is
required to sustain livelihood.

Overcome of challenges
To overcome such challenges, an individual can use its skills to get rid of the
problems, by taking participation in activities of colleges facilitated me in evolving
different skills, I can also take education loan to overcome the problem of finance to
continue my studies.

CONCLUSION
From above discussion, it has been concluded that personal and
professional development assists a person in developing various skills and also
generate different job opportunities. A person has required to select a field of
profession from marketing, finance, IT, HR, etc. in order to attain career goal.
