INTRODUCTION
The report aims to analyse the need for own career development through undertaking previous
experience in the own required filed. Every individual looks for self-growth and achievement to
successful in life and achieve career objectives. self aims must be designed according to the
particular strength and weakness of own self. This will mainly help in finding right way to attract
the job opportunities in the market. Due to dynamic and competitive world where finding jobs
are no more an easy task for an individual (Brice, 2022). Hence, it is crucial to prepare own self
for enhancing skills and capabilities to look for better career plans and aims. the report is going
to showcase current skills through reflecting on previous experience as a director. Also, there
will be PDP plans and SWOT analyse to identify inner capabilities and develop plans to perform
the necessary actions.

In the current world of competitive environment, there are shortages of job due to
requirement of highly trained and skills individual. the market is become very particular about
choosing the right candidate for the business (Muslimat, 2020). There is much problem of skill
shortage which impact on individual skills and knowledge to fit own self towards adopting new
technologies and market changes. In business, there are several departments and functions for
which each individual is assign as per their role of specialisation. This shows great impact on the
workplace where a person meets with their peers. As per my own experience as being a director
in A & M property investment group ltd, my job specifications are that I need to direct others to
carry out the investment and agency activities. I showed them correct path to meet with the
organisational requirements (Korthals, Schils, and Borghans, 2021). I have worked on this
position which has enhanced various skills within me. Some of those are interpersonal,
communication, directing and leading. This job post has made me self-confident and decision
maker which accomplish my targets of finding a perfect job opportunity.
I have analysed that there are certain job specifications for the role of manager and become a
managing director of the organisation. In the market, there are limited job positions for those
individuals who have high capabilities and experience in the related field. Mainly the market

upper management level tasks that require high skills and knowledge regarding the workplace
objectives. some of the skills set which is necessary to grab the job opportunities are discussed

Management skills: it is one of the most required and foremost skills with needs to have
within a director. Without good knowledge of management, a person will not be able to perform
various tasks and activities related to managing the whole organisation. A director keeps the
work activities in a systematic manner through assuring roles and responsibilities, setting teams
and provide instructions. It also includes understanding of the employee strength and weakness
to perform the job role. Therefore, directors are mainly work to keep updates about every
activities performing in the organisation to take further decision for the betterment.

innovative mind-set helps in looking for performing every workplace activity in an appropriate
manner. When uncertainties and challenges comes in a business, a director is the one who
handles all the situation by giving creative responses and seek opportunities. A director will set
plans and guidance that will attract the society as well as the employees of company. Hence,
there is a set of activities which makes sure about the crucial factors in which the director can
provide good guidance.
Strategic decision making: In the strategic power of abilities, it is necessary to enhance the
functioning activities through undertaking good decision. A director will hold this power to
strategically takes better decisions in case of market challenges, production and promotion. The
employees will work on the basis of these decisions which promotes healthy environment of the
company. It is all about focus on the current objectives of company and compare it with future
potential (Alaca, and Şanal, 2022). They have to be prepare for the upcoming event in advance to
avoid any delays and confusions. The decisions become easy and within the time limits so the

All these skills are vital for the betterment of myself to make me aware about the position of
director. This shows that, I need to work more on benefiting my own skills and capabilities that
lead to create effective ways to do the activities on workplace. There is requirement of

For that instance, I need to make plans for the same to avoid any leniency in the work. Therefore,
I have to be much particular about choosing the right career options that develop my growth in
ensuring future career aims.
