Introduction:
Personal and professional development refers to the process through which the organisation as
well as individual is involved under the process of learning to the goals and objectives. It is
associate with the development of the individual as well as of group or the team. The
professional growth is refers to gaining new skills and experience at the work places and
working environment and employees gain experience at either their current role or next roles
they want. Whereas the personal improvement is alongside the profession growth which help in
developing the personality at the work place which include handling the fears, take more
responsibility at the work. Personal professional development is a essential techniques for
everyone as it provide different functions which helps them to learn new things in the workplace
and while on the job training. This help skilful people to achieve the target objectives easily and
learn new things and different tools at the work related places. Under this report, the Harrods of
London, is a retail stores operating at different places and formed by the Charles Henry in the
1849. their will be discussion on personal and professional development of the individual person
and as well as of the organisation.
TASK 1:
1: Examine the skills audit in the context of my personal roles and responsibilities and
performance objective within the organisation.
The personal and professional development is very important program which are
designed in such a ways to expand the staff members and human resources at the work place. In
any organisation, there are various different roles and responsibilities of the employee which
help in enhancing the personal and professional attributes of the worker. The manager of the
organisation have to make strategies which helps in achieving the professional skill and also
improve their personality along with the tasks. Accordance to this, I have audit my skills in
various field such as leadership, managerial skills and knowledge by using different models and
by having experience in the work places. For developing my interpersonal skills I have attend
the various interaction session which helps in improving my personality in the team. I have
also manage my task effectiveness in the team so that task can be completed in positivity
manner.

According to this, I have done my duties in the effective manner in the organisation with lot of
energy. Apart form this, I have been involved in making various policies for the organisation
which improves my reasoning and analytical skills at personal levels. I have also attend various
workshops to enhance that the personal and professional capabilities can be improved in the
work place . my organisation has given various responsibilities to handle the junior at the
work place and making effective team for the company, and such task helps in improving my
leadership skills in the management levels. In the organisation, I was able to do necessarily to
provide various solution to solve the conflict at the work place and conducting various training
and development for the employees of the organisation so increase the productivity in the
company for the longer period of time. With the references of Harrod organisation,i have gain
lot of experience in terms of acquiring the new skills and capabilities at the work places and
hence increase the confidence in my work . It has been very important experience to to know
strength and weaknesses at the management levels so that I can improve my flaws and make best
use of available resources.
Performance objectives: as per the performance measurement in the organisation, I have
a received lot of knowledge about the managerial skills and leadership style which are necessary
for the growth for the personal and professional levels . Some of the skills which are learned in
the organisation as follows:
I have generate more appropriates skills and knowledge about the work.
I have understand and put efforts in understanding the mission and vision of the
company.
I have taken important projects and and made effective reports for the various clients.
To increase better performance SMART model is used for professional and personal
improvement at the work place. This model is discussed as follows:
S: to understand the goals in the better manner , the manager has to set specific goals for
the team members to have effective and profitable team for the organisation.
M: taking measurable small step that help in acquiring the goals of the company in the
proper manner.
A: relevant information is needed for aligning with the mission of the organisation so
that goals can be achieved in the long period of time.
