INTRODUCTION Every person have some skills which help them in moving towards their personal and professional goals and objectives. Also, up gradation in the skills is necessary for every individual as it directly leads to the development of career. It is necessary to make personal development plan as it highlight the skills of individual which are required to update along with the actions which they have to take for the same. Below mentioned report is dealing with all types of goals along with a personal development plan table. Furthermore, it also include the evaluation table of sources. TASK 1 Personal and Professional Development It can be defined as a concept under which personal and professional skills of individual has been analysed and work on the skills which are required to be upgrade. The skills which are useful to have in an individual at the time of getting job are known as personal skills and the skills which are used by individual while performing their job is known as professional skills. The development of these skills makes the complete concept of Personal and Professional development. Short Term Goals It refers to those goals which are made for a short period of time duration which include less than 1 year. These goals involve high value as the achievement of these goals motivate the individual for medium and long term goals. Examples: ď‚·Reducing the time wastage while working ď‚·Improvement in the communication skills ď‚·Switching the Job Medium Term Goals The bridge which connect the short and long term goals are known as medium term goals. Such type of goals are made for the time period of more than 1 year but less than 3 years. In order to reaching at the long term goals, these goals plays an important role. Examples: ď‚·Knowledge of managerial aspects ď‚·Gaining Work Experience 1
ď‚·Productivity improvement Long Term Goals It refers to those goals which are made for the time period of more than 3 years. These goals are important as they add a different values in the life of an individual. People make these goals for the purpose of improving the skills in themselves. Along with this,it also provide right direction to the lives of individual. Examples: ď‚·Bringing any change in career ď‚·Completing Post Graduation from Business Management University ď‚·Moving into management Personal Development Plan with Example Action Plan is the another name of PDP as it help the individual in making a action plan for the purpose of developing the skills in them. In simple words, it can be said that, this plan help the individual in analysing the actions and time for the purpose of improving their skills which implies effect on their career.
