Introduction
Personal development is defined as the aspects that
various capability and potentiality in an individual that
helps them to attain determined goals and objectives. On
the other hand, professional development is described as
the learning that help to enhance professional skills such
as attending conferences and enables to perform
professional task in best possible manner.

Personal and professional development
It is very important for an individual to enhances various
skills, capabilities and competencies that enables them
to attain determined personal and professional goals and
objectives in best possible manner and lead career
towards success. Throughout my programme, I have
gained various personal and professional skills that help
to attain career development opportunities that enables
me to gain competitive advantages over other
competitors.

Skills
 Leadership skill: Leadership skill helped me to influence
others and lead them to perform in efficient manner in order
to attain determined operations in best possible manner.
 Time-management skill: Time-management is the skill that
helps to perform determined task in specific time-frame.
 Decision-making skill: Through working in Tesco, I have
learnt how to take effective decisions after analysing whole
situation that led my actions in right direction.

Self-appraisal
Self-appraisal is considered as the process in which
employees get opportunity to review own performance and
identify areas of improvement that enables to enhances
overall performance and proficiency. I have conducted self-
appraisal in order to identify various strengths and
weakness that create positive as well as negative impact on
my performance.

Reflection
Reflection is the approach that enables me to reflect my
learning and experiences to others in effective manner. I have
worked in Tesco organisation as a team leader where I got
chance to lead team to compete specific project. Throughout
working, I have learnt various personal and professional skills
that help me to attain determined task in best possible manner.

Self-management
Self-management is considered as the ability through
which an individual regulates their emotions, behaviour
and manage own course of actions in order to attain
determined personal and professional objectives. It is
related to self-control as well as self-regulation.

CONCLUSION
As per above report, it can be concluded that
personal and professional development helps an
individual to attain determined goals and objectives
in effective manner. It helps to attain career
development opportunities and gain competitive
advantages than others.
