Task One:
Definition of the concept of personal and professional development
It states that an individual puts in more efforts in order to enhance their potential, talent and
ability to achieve goals. It refers to an individual's attempts to improve the quality of their life
and to improve their overall growth (Schwartz and et. al., 2019). Personal development can
begin at any point of time regardless of age. On the contrary, professional development
begins when an individual receives their overall education, training, certification that they
require to accomplish in their career. This development process is basically career-oriented
plan which requires necessary resources and skills to assist in an individual's career growth
and development, in accordance to its future endeavors. (Gottlieb and et. al., 2020).
Description and discussion of the value of short term goals identifying at
least 3 personal examples
Aim which required less time to achieve are short term objectives. These targets are set to
achieve within a year and are not complex in nature. Short term goals are like small steps
which leads towards the way of long term success (Williams and Raney, 2020)
Here are some relevant examples of it:
Improving network and communication skills.

These objectives usually takes 1 to 3 years to be accomplished and falls between short term

It is a lifelong method of achieving satisfaction and success in career, education and personal
life in order to improve their skills, knowledge and experience. It is beneficial for all
individuals and organizations as it assists in giving a clarity to personal vision of the future. It
enables in modification of skills by focusing on weak areas which require improvement and
therefore, it empowers people to take control, but not to get controlled (Adnan, 2018).

Relevance’ affect the use of a source
These four factors are an integral part of understanding academic study. It states that a source
is relevant and authentic if the content written relates to the purpose of topic which is
supposed to be written in the research and the content obtained should concerns the
authentication of the source. Content obtained should be genuine, authentic, full filling the
purpose and relevance of topic (Sciuto, 2017).
