Task One:
Definition of the concept of personal and professional development
The entire concept in respect of personal and professional development is
more beneficial process for the through which people or an organization will deliver
more influencing opportunity of career. This process will provide more effective
chance to update learning during the cycle of defeating challenges so that one can
easily accomplish overall goal (Anderson, 2017). This will help to improve quality of
individual along with whole organizational staff. This process conduct opportunity to
raise knowledge and skill. It will combines activity through which individual will
generate awareness so that individual can identify overall development with potential
opportunity so that they can covert them into advance employ-ability. This will
contribute more realization towards goal and improve aspirant quality life.
Description and discussion of the value of short term goals
identifying at least 3 personal examples
The short term goal are generally define as proximal goal that deliver proper
direction in order tom accomplish long term goal. This will consider as very small
step that is taken by aspirant for preparing its long term goal. These kind of goal are
very easier one to fulfill as it depend upon immediate future. This will aid in
managing task (Hall, 2017). The short type of goal can be easily fulfilled during the
period of less than 12 months. This will consider as splitting up the entire goal plan
as well as weekly basis. The example of short term personal goal is mention bellow-
By completing certification course of 6 months during the graduation-
This will be consider as short term goal as this will be complete under the
time period of 6 months.
Learning skill of communication- These skill are very important as it will
create new opportunity and develop in career advancement. This will be
complete during less than 12 month.
Managing time- This goal is significant as it will help individual to manage its
all type of task on time by scheduling all task on priority basis.

The value of medium goal will be achieved during period within 2 years, this
will be termed as more valuable than short but less than long term. It will act as
base for preparing individual for long period of goal (Kikas and et.al., 2018). Some
example of it is mention bellow-
Scheduling accurate job- In the time of graduation, every individual plan for
its desirable job in reputed company. As a result of this medium goal
individual will improve its skill and knowledge set.
Managing skill work-The skill of managing at work is consider as medium
goal through which individual can prepare itself after graduation for planning
better career opportunity.

Career growth- Now days most of the people gets confused about their
career planning so by medium goal of career growth will discover more better
option in order to enhance personal and professional life. Through this one
can enhance their skill.

Long term goal is most important and crucial one, because entire personal
and professional life. That is necessary to be improve and achieve more valuable
goal. This are more time consuming and long period of aim that will be accomplish
during time of 2 to 5 years. The example of long term goal are-
Job position- This type of goal will be consider as long period of goal,
position in job profile is need to be examined as this will be consider as
authenticated and based on individual interest (Legkauskas, 2019). It will
improve the level of skill will working in company so they get opportunity to
change high position in job.
More expertise knowledge- The gaining expertise knowledge in particular
subject matter is more beneficial for developing option for betterment of goal.
Technical skill- These skill is much time consuming because lost of
technicalities will have to learn to make better career opportunity. This will
improve ability and improve performance in the work task.

The value and planning of personal development is most essential as it
conduct proper guidance during the authenticated career path. This will aid in
advancing skill, knowledge for creating high level of opportunity during personal and
professional life (Montoya and et.al., 2019). Example of goals is mention below-
Communication- This goal is to improve communication skill for better
performance at work. This will be improve by getting knowledge through
lecture and journal.
Critical thinking-Through this skill individual can perform well in difficult
working condition (Ricciardi and et.al., 2021). It will be enhance by getting
knowledge from expert management.
Management- This type of skill is most essential in order to mange all work in
effective way. This will be improve through guidance of senior management.
