Task One:
Definition of the concept of personal and professional development
Personal and professional development defines a way for the individuals to
analyze their own skills, knowledge and abilities while addressing the objectives of
life and set aspirations to realize and increase their full potential. In personal life. A
person is able to find the areas that have space for development and improvement
and the journey of PPD could let the person to enjoy a more fulfilling existence
(Fotiadou, 2020).
Description and discussion of the value of short term goals
identifying at least 3 personal examples
When a person wants to attain something in his or her near future can be
termed as short-term goal. This near future can be denoted as this day, this week,
this month or this year. It helps in making bigger and significant changes of life. In
professional life, the short-term goals can help in becoming more productive at work
while increasing job satisfaction.
Examples of short-term goals:
 Improving time-management skills.
 Organize a work station.
 Obtain a new degree or certification.

Medium-term objectives can be represented as the goals which can be
attained in between short-term goals and long term goals. These goals are taken as
the motivational goals as the person is taking short-term steps essentially for steady
development towards long-term aspirations.
Examples of medium-term goals:
 Save money to build a house of myself.
 Improve my resume before apply to jobs.
 To become an entrepreneur.

A long-term goals can be delineated as the goals that takes time and a person
want such goals in the future. These goals are pivotal for a successful career. This
necessitates time as well as planning (Gallagher, 2022). It needs numerous steps to
attain the long term aspirations. These long-term goals enables an individual to think
about the education and learning through which they can be able to attain their long
term aspirations.
Examples of long-term goals:
 Advance in career with education.
 Learning new language.
 To promoted at managerial position.

A professional development plan refers a document that includes the
objectives, needed skills, together with, competency development and goals of
employees will require to attain with a support ongoing enhancement as well s
career development. It is a guideline for the life, along with, future success. It is the
chase of individual development to improve the life quality and to attain the dreams
and objectives. This documented journey will help an individual to understand where
he or she want to be in the career (Malesa and Maleka, 2021). It is beneficial to
motivate oneself throughout the apprenticeship or academic education while using
well into professional life. It is always there to represent a person what the
aspirations are and if the person even lose the vision of them, having a PDP can
assist in influencing to keep steps ahead.

Author: It refers an individual who take copyright for their personal content
which have been documented on the particular subject.
Purpose: The author documents an article or content for a particular purpose
for some germane acknowledgment.
Reliability: The sources and articles which have right credential are
extremely authentic and reliable (Rick and Phlypo, 2019).
Relevance: It delineates that the sources of writer's credentials are
appropriate and suitable in relation of reliability and information.
