Introduction Personal an professional development both are the inter-related terms which guides individual's abilities towards gaining of new skills and experience. Developing a good plan in regards to personal or professional development of an individuals promotes systematic approach towards once career path goals. This report will be an inclusion of values highlighted by short- term, medium-term and long term goals with personal examples. This is supported with values of personality development plan and its personal construction. Further, in the report affect of author, purpose, reliability and relevancy is also being highlighted(Weller, 2021). Main Body Task 1 Concept of personal and professional development The concept of personal and professional development refers to engaging with several activities which aids towards improving skills and abilities of an individual in a respective direction. An effective personal and professional development plan involves deep investigation of knowledge and understandings of field of working. The concept can also be related to seeking to various training and development programs to learn or modify new skills or knowledge (Letizia and Tonello, 2020). Values of short term goals with 3 personal examples Short-term goals are those standards which are aimed for their achievement within the time period of 6 months. These goals are considered to be small steps through which an individual can achieve career path goals. Reflecting on my personal skills and abilities desired short term goals which will form bases of my personal and professional development are as follows; ï‚·Communication skills ï‚·Work life balance ï‚·Reading skills Values of medium-term goals with 3 personal examples Such types of goals offers a fictitious bridge between short-term and long-term goals. An individual by complying to such types of goals can seek to monitor their performance. By setting
this type of goal I am able to maintain flow of work as per the desired long term goals. My medium term goals are listed below; ï‚·Leadership skills ï‚·Adaptability skills ï‚·Work ethics Values of long-term goals with 3 personal examples These type of goals are regarded as the ultimate goals which have a definite period of more than 5 years. In the process there are higher possibility that an individual loose track or motivation to achieve such goals. Therefore, for achievement of such types of goals medium- term goals plays a vital role. Reflecting to my attributes there are several long term goals which can be determined out of which some are as follows(Joyce and Jackson, 2021); ï‚·Get a job ï‚·Learn at least two language and culture ï‚·Complete graduation Values of a personal development plan and construction of a personal example PDP sets a definite aim for an individual to pursue desired goals and objectives irrespective of being a personal or professional life concerns.
