Introduction The process that is liable for improvising oneself via activities like enhancement of employment skills, building wealth and consciousness is referred to as personal development. The growing success for self-help as well as personal development movement assisted business managers within attainment of motivated and qualified personnel for firms(Bukor, 2015). Different approaches as well as strategies are being utilised that leads to enhancement within organisational productivity. When people have impelling capabilitiesit becomes easy for organisation to deliver their services as well as enhance brand awareness. This report has two parts in which part 1 comprises of presentation and other is reflective journal. Both these sections will provide an insight into Chief executive officer of Amazon, Jeff Bezos. Within presentation emphasis will be laid on leadership. The other section of will provide overview of employability skills that will aid within carrying out business operations through usage of reflective model. Skills denote ability that involves usage of one’s knowledge in an efficacious as well as readily manner in terms of performance and execution(Cottrell, 2017). Skills are crucial for each organisation as it aids them within effective execution of business activities. Individual presentations are regarded as opportunity as a chance is being given to speak with people and create an affirmative impact on their overall skills. These skills aided Jeff Bezos to deal with challenges which came in their way while running their business. While doing research with respect to CEO of Amazon I have analysed various skills and capabilities that assisted within for improvisation of understanding as well as knowledge. Furthermore, it leads to increase my confidence level as I expressed and shared my opinions with others. But while do so I also acknowledged that there certain aspects which needs to be enhanced as I was weak in them and can create problems for me within corporate 1
environment. It is necessary to work on some aspects like statistics aids within critical thinking ability when decisions with respect to some numerical aspects have to be made but I am weak in this. For an example, Jeff Bezos have various employability skills which aid them within managing performance. There are different learning models through which skills can be improvised as this will lead within effective acknowledgment of weaknesses and accordingly bring in enhancement within these aspects so that different tasks can be conducted in an effectual manner (Wald, 2015). Gibbs reflective model illustrates it is necessary that adequate bind prevails among employer as well as employees as it aids within creating a strong working environment along with adequate enhancement within skills can be attained. While look for capabilities and skills possessed by Jeff Bezos, I was working with head manager of organisation where I emphasised on enhancing my knowledge by making use of this model. It has been specified beneath with respect to improvisation within my learning and experience: Description:It is the initial stage in which person is required to determine facts associated with what is being happening, when along with where and many other aspects are involved within this. While working on Jess Bezos I have to develop a presentation. For this, I have to gather huge information and read them for understanding how a person can lead a certain group of people and taking the organisation to new height. This assisted me within improvisation in communication skills both in written and verbal. Written in context of I have to develop a presentation and verbal explaining this. But these were secondary aspects as while working with manger I have to communicate with them about what I have found so while talking with seniors a formal language is being used and way they talk was also analysed not only in terms of words they spoke but also in their body language as sometimes it speaks a lot. Feelings:This involves thoughts as well as feeling at particular instance of time and cover the query what you feel. This stage aids within understanding mental state of individuals (Lawson and Cowling, 2015). There were situations where I was not able to analyse exactly what capabilities are being possessed by Jeff Bezos which frustrated me but sometimes I was satisfied when I gathered adequate knowledge.While formulation of presentation I tried to cover all the crucial aspects in calm manner which lead to boost up my confidence as well as assisted me within grabbing adequate knowledge with respect to employability skills. 2

This can be attained by taking adequate measures through which all these skills can be enhanced and will aid within attainment of objectives as well goals. Action Plan:It illustrates all the actions along with plans that are required for enhancing skills (Moyo and et. al 2016). I have found that the adequate knowledge can be acquired by communicating with people about recent trends that prevails within market along with reading. This aids to enhance knowledge that automatically brings in confidence while working on different projects. Some skills with respect to this have been specified below: Communication skill:This is important skill which has to be developed within each individual. The reason behind this is that while communicating certain problems can be easily 3
resolved. I have adequate communication skills which aids me to present myself in front of other peoples as well as understand their point of view while having discussion. Usage of ICT:Information and communication technology is being utilised by individuals for purpose of enhancement of quality of education(Swain, 2016). Through acquiring adequate knowledge related with technological aspects it will become easy to deliver services quickly. I opt for this while working, like usage of email to send any document or message to different personnel instead of doing phone calls to each individual. This is a time consuming process and technology is being designed to smoothen things which I ensure that I make its use. Along with this, internet is major source through which I have gathered lots of information. Team work:It becomes easy to deliver work in team but only in case if mutual understanding is being developed among members otherwise it can be painful to complete the work. I found that Jeff Bezos works in team which aids them in attaining their goals on time. This enhances understanding related with people as well as has high productivity. While working in a team, I have found that innovative and amplified results can be attained as each individual have different have their own thoughts. Time & self-management skills:Time is regarded as important aspect while working on any project as it leads to make sure projects will be delivered on time(Bukor, 2015). It aids me within delivering my work on time as well as management all the crucial activities associated with this. Problem solving skill:I have critical analytical ability which provides me to think for particular situation in an appropriate manner by taking into consideration different positives and negatives associated with this. It aids me to solve the problems in an appropriate time and ensure that the negative impact is minimised. The above illustrated are some essential employability as well as study skills which are being utilised while formulation of projects and ensure adequate performance is being attained. Conclusion From above report, it can be concluded that, there are different skills as well as capabilities that are being required for appropriate completion of project. It is necessary that different learning models are being utilised to understand what is being possessed, what needs improvement and what new skills are being needed to make sure that individual can sustain within market successfully.
