SECTION 1
What have you done well and what could you have done better?
By analysing my overall experience I was able to categorize in two elements that what I
did well and what not. This will help me in identifying my weakness and improving it. By
applying Gibbs Model, the following is the analysis.
Description: The task was to examine about the impact of the taxation on the business
innovation. However, the analysis was appropriate and use of several ideas were considered
(Cheng and et.al., 2015). My focus was on the overlapping of innovation in the private sector and
the influence of taxation policies to help this concept. I tried to give some information but more
details could have been added to give clarity and for better presentation.
Feelings: This part shed light on the evaluation done and the feedback I received which only
highlighted the lack of clear and concise details regarding the subject. There were indications
towards lack of relevant citations and the quality was mediocre. However, now I understood my
weaknesses and would improve in next project.
Evaluation: The tutor emphasized on many drawbacks and it involved my poor grammar skills
and complication sentences framing. However, the ideas were in relation to the topic which I
found it relevant.
Conclusions: It involves that proof reading is essential for me to write I simpler sentences and
focus on giving meaningful data and complete information. I always tried to prioritise and
remove the hurdles but I must practice religiously.
Action: In order to improve, I must take assistance to maintain my descriptive skills by taking
help from my seniors and to read and improve my grammar. I also try to write in simple and
smaller sentences to give meaningful sentences to the readers and would be able to score better
in the next task.
What have you learnt about your research skills?
In this I learned about how to search articles and journals on internet and how to analyse
it. Also, through this I was able to analyse information and write it in my own words. This
improved my IT and communication skills I was able to identify authentic source from where
data can be taken (Díaz-Rubio and et.al., 2017). Furthermore, I wrote info in critical way by
analysing stats and calculations. Furthermore, I learned that how to make notes and gather info

from different sources. Then, I gain knowledge about on what basis info should be analysed so
that only relevant info is included in it.
Alongside this, I learned that I need to improve my writing skills so that I am able to
analyse a topic in more authentic way. Now, I need to write sentences in more simplified and
easy manner so that it is clear for others to read and understand. I also need to differentiate
between relevant and ambiguous data so that I can develop report in more authentic way.
Furthermore, I must use my critical thinking skills to present the statistical data in easy way.
SECTION 2
By working as a financial assistance I learned a lot of things. I gained skills and knowledge
about role of financial unit in a tech company. Also, I learned that what application or software
are been used by company in dong financial analysis. Besides this, I gained knowledge about
how finance department communicate with different department and how data and information is
shared by them. Moreover, I learned about different ways and methods of communication. This
helped me in gaining knowledge about future technology that can help in effective
communication. Another thing that I learned was different types of leadership skills that are
applied by leader in attaining goals and objectives. Now, I can also work in team or lead one or
two persons under my supervision. In Tech Company I analysed how funds are been allocated
and how ROI is calculated.
In personal terms, I gain knowledge about how financial analysis is done and on basis of
it how budget is developed. Also, I was able to learn how financial performance of company and
each unit is evaluated. I know how final report is been developed and what specific things are
included in it. Besides this, I got to know on how different members help in working towards
common goals. Apart from it, I got to know how to communicate with manager and lower level
employees.
While working in a team I learned about time management skills. Also, I got to know benefit of
working in team and role of leader in it. In this way I learn how collaborative decisions are been
taken and what role each member have (Di Stefano and et.al., 2016). I also learned that how to
work in creative way so that goals are attained in less time. This supported me in improving my
creative thinking. In addition to it, I improved my management and problem solving skills.
As financial assistance I gained knowledge related to finance and accounts that will help me
in carer growth. I am now able to use computer application like Tally and SAP in which

transactions are recorded. Moreover, I am having enough experience as I have worked in many
companies on this post which will help me in working for higher post such as financial executive
or analyst. I am able to apply my practical as well as theoretical knowledge in context to the
finance sector properly with an emphasis on presenting my career growth and development.
Along with this, it gave me a platform to improve my inter personal and communication skills
and helped me to be a better financial executive.
