INTRODUCTION
Self identification refers to the feeling that has been shared and understand the problems
or experiences of someone else. It act as an important tool which provides an avenue for
employees to share their data into anonymous manner who shares their diversity data so that
employees can implement the strategies in order to build a culture which supports all the
employees and also measure their progress towards their diversified goals. The present report
will cover discussion about the issues related to higher education which has primary focus on the
personal development and employability as well. In addition to this, the report will cover
analysis about pre and quashing mis conceptions about the life of university and also about the
student staff relationship and its expectations as well. Moreover, the report will cover discussion
about the significance of employability within the curriculum and the engagement with career
development services.

development and employability
Career development refers to the process of choosing a career, improving the skills and
advancing along the career path. It is basically the life long process of decision making and
learning which brings the individual closer towards the ideal job, skill set and lifestyle as well.
Career development is important because it increases the employees motivation and productivity
level as well. While building the career I have to face certain issues which is related to the
higher education which includes decline of the humanities, foundational skill gap, student debt,
enrolment agreements and distributive operations as well. While commencing for higher
education I have to face difficulties in terms of admission where various rounds have been
conducted in order to evaluate the student from every aspect. As there is reservation policy so up
to a certain extent some seats already got reserved due to which it was very difficult to take
direct admission without any kind of support system. While commencing for higher education, at
the university level I have to focus upon personal development and employability factor as well.

At the initial level of learning I was very weak in certain parameters and particular kind
of skills as well. I was weak in communication skills, analytical skills, decision making skills and
management skills as well from the professional point of view. While studying at the university
level I was not very much aware about my surrounding such as current affairs, practical
knowledge and certain concepts which needs to be updated according to the changing period of
time. For developing my personality I have to work on certain attributes which will contribute in
terms of enhancing the personality. I have to open up myself for the newer experiences into the
outside world. I have to increase my conscientiousness in the outside world so that I can change
my personality according to the professional environment and corporate culture as well. So I
have to seriously work on these attributes in order to get employable into future according to
changing period of time.
While studying for higher education, I am basically strong in terms of team working,
business skills, time management, organisational skills, technical skills due to which I can easily
adapt myself into the professional environment and adapt into the corporate culture. These are
the skills which act as base and strong parameter for developing my career into proper manner.
For developing the skills it is very important that to have an personal development plan which
will help in terms of developing the skills into positive manner. Personal development plan is
basically a form of self-evaluation and self reflection which is typically used in terms of higher
education and work place as well. It also act as a beneficial exercise within the personal life and

In this manner, i have developed these skills into positive manner for building the strong
career life into appropriate manner. From the perspective of employability, it has been observed
that I have to always update my knowledge and skills according to changing period of time so
that I can easily grab the job at the time of recruitment and selection. While studying for the
higher education, I have heard some mis conceptions about the university life where I have a
kind of picture in my mind that university always engages students in terms of studying
parameter and do not focus on the other activities. I have also heard that university will not
properly respond and support in case of choosing the wrong career or field. I have also
misconception about the social life where I can't make friends into proper manner so its become
very difficult for me to sustain at the university level. So this is a kind of picture in my mind
regarding the life of university.

When I have actually experienced it then I have observed that university life is totally
different where along with studies there are different kinds of extra curricular activities have
been conducted such as dancing, painting, dramatics, debates, sports etc. While pursuing for
higher education,it is very important for me to focus on the staff student relationship and their
related expectations as well. I felt that when there is a good bond between student and staff then
it is easier for me to ask any kind of doubts and also don't have any kind of fear while learning
and adapting new things into practical manner. The relationship of staff and student act as the
caring connection between the youth and staff member as well. This is a kind of relationship
which act as the protective factor for students who are at risk for failure through helping them in
order to build self regulation skills and resiliency as well. When there is a coordination between
staff member and student then it is very comfortable for me to discuss any kind of issue into
detailed form which is necessary for me in order to have further positive growth and
development as well.
There are certain kinds of expectations between student and staff relationship where I
have to cooperate into positive manner. I have realised that the main expectation in this
relationship is that I have to listen carefully and follow it into appropriate manner for the proper
execution of my goals within a set period of time. I have to cooperate in such a manner that do
not repeat the mistakes into frequent form so that teacher start mistrusting into my capabilities. I
have to maintain trust level of my teacher regarding the performance so that I can give a reason
to my teacher to do more hard work for my higher level of performance. This is the main
expectation within the student and staff member relationship which needs to be fulfilled into
appropriate manner so that both can work into smoother level towards their goals into positive
manner.
Employability skills refer to the capabilities which makes a person enable to get a good
job. These skills are important to get as well as a sustain within a job for longer run. In the
present time, competition has been increased thus it is important to have necessary employability
skills to create unique identity in job market (Suleman, 2018). In higher education, employability
skills plays an important role as it makes the student ready to make an enriching career. The

become an important part of higher education. Apart from the academics, one also needs to give
effective presentation while working in corporate. The higher education helps in developing
necessary presentation skills so that a person can easily deliver effective presentation to the
seniors and fellow members. Here, presentation skills are helpful in preparing as well as
delivering effective presentation and also makes a person enable to stay confident while
delivering the presentation (Stevenson and et. al., 2021). To work in an organization, it is
required to have necessary decision making skills to take prompt and appropriate decisions in
significant manner.
While studying in the higher education, I got ample of employability skills that will help
me to progress in future career. I can secure a better position in one of the renowned companies
by developing appropriate employability skills. Here, I need to develop communication skills
that will allow me to interact with several individuals. Further this skills will also help me in
creating a unique image so that I can grow in the future career. Apart from the communication
skills, I also developed necessary presentation skills during the academics. This skill is helpful
in terms of delivering effective presentation in front of seniors and fellow members. Now, i can
easily deliver the presentation without any hesitation. I also got decision-making skills during the
higher education. This skill is important in order to take effective decisions to ensure future
betterment. Now, I am able to take prompt as well as appropriate decisions by keeping various
elements in consideration. By this way, I developed ample of skills and capabilities while
studying in the higher education. Problem solving skills are also important skills which I gt
during the higher education. With this skill, I am able to resolve the issues promptly. This will

improve my position at workplace in significant manner. These skills will play a crucial role in
future growth of my career.
Career development services are important in order to success in future period of time.
the main aim of such services is to improve the skills and abilities of an individual in order to
make them capable enough to perform the assigned duties in rightful manner. In the present era,
there is extensive competition in the job market (Smith and Wood, 2020). In this situation, there
is requirement to provide necessary career development services so that one can easily develop
necessary skills and capabilities to set a unique identity.
Career development services are likely to work with schools and universities so that they
can contribute in enhancement and skill development of the students. These organisations have
number of qualified employees who contribute in development and growth of students., In other
words, these services help the students to develop the career journey so that they can get useful
skills to make an enriching career in the future period of time (Bhagra and Sharma, 2018). With
increasing competition, career development services have become highly important as it allows
individuals to develop necessary and qualities so that they can get as well as sustain in job.
I also got exposure of career development services where I used to put significant efforts in
order to enhance my skills. Here, I used to take part in various activities so that I can develop
necessary potential to get a good employment in future time. Career development services made
me enable to perform the assigned duties efficiently so that I can grow and succeed in my career.
Further, career development services prove helpful in terms of developing various competencies
so that I can secure better placement at one of the prestigious company. Additionally, I can easily
survive in the competitive environment by developing competencies and qualities. I got various
skills in terms of communication, problem solving, negotiation skills and more which are useful
to get success in career in an efficient manner. These skills will not only help me in getting a job
but will also make me enable to get promotions and enhancements within the existing job.
CONCLUSION
The above stated report concludes that career development is very important for a student
or individual life so that they can achieve their goal into positive manner. It has been concluded
that while commencing for higher education there are certain kinds of challenges and problems
which have been faced by an individual. It has been determined that there are certain skills and
