Introduction
Personal statement is defined as the written description that includes various aspects such as an
individual's interest, achievements and other aspects. Business school is defined as the university
that provides range of business administration and management courses. It is considered as the
school of management or administration that includes various subjects such as accounting,
economic, marketing, manufacturing and management. This personal statement covers purpose
or reasons behind selecting business management course. Previsions work experiences as well as
challenges and difficulties that are faced during the course.
TASK
Reasons to apply for this programme
My career goal is to become manager in reputed organisation so I have chosen to register at
business school. It helps me to improve my knowledge and understanding regarding business
management and its other concepts. Accept career goal, there are various reasons for that I have
applied for this specialised course. Registration in Business and Management course facilitates
me through improving various business management skills like effective planning, organisation,
leadership, project management, problems solving that enabled me to attain my personal as well
as professions goals in defined period of time. Business management course help me to improve
my overall personality that enable me to get better job opportunities in the specific field of
marketing, management, finance and other (Cokins, 2017). I have fascinated towards taking
admission at business school because it will help me to become better entrepreneur as well as
leverage to gain higher salary. I have realised that this course help me to manage project in
systematic manner, balance multiple task to attain determined goals and objectives.
Due to these reasons I have realised that it is correct time to pursue the course. In current
days range of business are established in various sectors and completing business course will
help me to get employment opportunity.
How previous work experience or education or education that prepared for study the course
I have completed my graduation in the field of commerce that improves various business
skills and capabilities in my personality such as management skills and understanding of
different management subjects. I have realised that my educational background will help me in
business management course (Maylor, Blackmon, and Huemann, 2017). During bachelor I took

participation in internship that help me to gain practical knowledge of business activities. Along
with that I have various skills and competencies that pushed me to make career in this field. I
feel good in meeting new people and interacting with them to understand their point of views
that make me realise that I am suitable for this career.
Why I have chosen business studies and its importance for the career
Taking admission in business school helped me to gain theoretical as well as practical
information regarding business management. In current days knowledge and understanding of
business concepts is very important for making successful career. I took admission in business
school I am interested in gaining information related to business theories and concepts.
Knowledge related to business management help me in my professional career and
enhances various skills and strengths in my personality that enabled me to establishing an
organisation and run its operations in efficient manner in competitive business environment.
After taking registration at business school, I have taken assistance of teachers as well as
professors that lead my efforts towards right direction. National and international organisational
demands efficient employees who has professional knowledge related to business practices and
concepts (Mazzarol, and Reboud, 2017). I have realised that this will enhances various
employment opportunities. There are various subjects in business management course that
helped me to gain diversify learning and help to manage business activities in systematic
manner. I have learnt all dimensions as well as aspects of management that enabled me to gain
better employment.
Difficulties and challenges during pursuing the course and solutions to resolve them
I have faced various challenges and problems during the course of business management
that affect my efficiency and performance level. I have taken systematic actions to resolve these
problems and perform defined operations in best way. Some challenges and their solutions are
explained below:
Ineffective communication: I have challenges regarding communication during the course
of business management. I have meat various people who have different personality. I have
realised that due to ineffective communication I have not interacted with them in appropriate
manner that creates various conflicts and issues (Oakshott, 2020). Because of improper
communication, I could not convey my ideas, thoughts and point of views to others. For

improving communication skill I have taken communication classes and interact with more
people that helped me to communicate my ideas to others in understandable manner.
Pressure to perform: In the course of business management various subjects are included
that need to be handled at a same time. This situation enhances pressure on me perform all these
activities on determined period of time. For the purpose of resolving this issue, I have developed
systematic time-table or schedule that helped me to learn all subject properly.
Team work: There are various assignments or projects are assigned me during the course of
business management (Saunders, and Lewis, 2017). I have faced difficulty on managing time and
performance in teamwork. There are various conflicts are raised in team that impacts overall
working performance. In order to improve team working skill I have take participation in team
work and coordinate with other members.
CONCLUSION
As per above report, it can be concluded that students need to select their career field
carefully through analysing different aspects such as interest areas, skills and future. There are
various problems and challenges are faced by students during the academic courses so it
important for them to take appropriate course of action and solutions to improve overall
performance and efficiency. Educational background as well as experience plays important role
in pursuing their course with greater efficiency and effectiveness.
