Civil engineering is an professional which deals in designing, construction and
maintenance of the physical and naturally developed environment for improving the facility and
infrastructure of a region with an aim to improve the standard of living. This mainly includes
area of work such as development and maintained of bridge, roads, dams, canals, sewerage
system, pipeline, airport, structural component of building and railways. Hence, it can be said
that the civil engineers are the true promoter and developed of wellbeing of the society by
brining significant change to the environment in which they are living. The civil engineers are
integral part of the society and without them the society can’t be able to function in so managed
pattern. Therefore, these diversified works of the civil engineers are much enough to attract nay
of the aspirant to joint the civil engineering course to convert their interest area into a well-
managed profession that give a much satisfaction with the work.
The main reason behind I want to pursue this profession of civil engineering is because of
my interest area, as I am having interest in structural designing and civil engineering is a
profession which deal in design construction and maintenance of buildings, bridge, roads etc.
Another major reason behind opting for this profession is that it work across varied and versatile
set of operation which provide daily a new thing to learn which in turn lever let somebody to lose
their concentration from their work. Hence, civil engineer get daily basis challenges where their
profession revolve around new tasks and unique challenges which develop their skills and
capabilities that take them up to new height and provide opportunity to work toward the
development of the society.
Other than this the scope after pursuing the civil engineering is also one of the major
reason which attract an individual toward choosing it as a profession. After doing civil
engineering there is wider scope such as after completing the graduation one can opt for an
internship course for getting training in this filed or can say on the job training so that further
prospects get open for getting job in big manufacturing or construction organisation. Other than
this, there also remain further options for getting higher studies in same filed to enhance th
expertise such as one can join masters of civil engineering or can join for an MBA program to
get a white collar job by integrating the knowledge of civil engineering with the of management
stuff to become a competent person to get a job with eth integration of two field into a
construction company.

Hence, these are the reasons due to which I decided to opt for a civil engineering course
to purse from New City College in London which offer HND program of civil engineering. The
main reason behind choosing this institution to pursue my study is that it provide a best learning
experience and to improve learning personal development programs are also being exerted for
the students.
