Every sane person in the world has a certain personal worldview .It is important to
understand the personal worldview because it gives us the scope to assess all the aspects of life.
A personal worldview includes one’s own philosophy, philosophy of life, mindset, outlook, faith
and religion. After conducting my worldview research, I have found that there are many
components, which play a very important role in shaping my thoughts, life decisions’ and
experiences.
Spirituality is a broad concept that has many perspectives .It involves a sense of bonding
or connection with something bigger than we do and it also includes exploration of meaning in
life (Sheldrake, 2013). It can be defined as a unique and universal experience of humans that has
the capability to touch us all. There are several meanings of spirituality, they include sacred,
transcendent and a deep sense of interconnectedness and aliveness. Thus, Spirituality can also be
considered as the inner wish to create bonding with something, which is bigger than the
experience of a person. Spirituality plays an important role in the field of healthcare as it
improves or enhances the recovery and mortality. Spirituality is defined in number of ways as it
is related to the different worldviews .The worldview relates to the concepts of Pluralism,
Scientism and Postmodernism. The concept of pluralism includes the worldview in which the
society members frame their culture on the grounds of acceptance and diversity (Lamont &
Swidler, 2014). The worldview of pluralism emphasizes the importance of tolerance of other
religions but it does not stray from their own beliefs .This worldview endeavors for the benefit of
all and also recognizes that some truth exists in other beliefs. Scientism is a proposition that
conveys that scientific proposal can be utilized for answering and solving all the questions and
issues that are related to values, meaning and existence of God (Sorell, 2013).While dealing
with Scientism, the scientific knowledge is given the priority and authority to comprehend and
